Actually, I think that Harpoon is a pretty good brewery, and the Midsummer Fling that I received in a sampler pack went down the drain. Blech.

I don't know why I come into these threads, invariably people start posting world class beers just to get a rise out of others.

Yeah, looking through this thread, I have yet to see a "bad" beer posted, possibly Golden Monkey, which is even bad, just middling for the style.

Hell, most of these aren't even the "worst" beer from the brewery. It's mostly beers that stand out for some people as they personally do not like. I would think the point is to find a good brewery, but brews a stand out bad beer.

Though both of these are better than Devil Dancer. Gotta love some garlic and onions in your beer...

This and Founders Pale Ale. I was disappointed by both of them

No so many good breweries on this list...

It's almost as if good breweries don't make bad beer...

Seeing as which everything on here is subjective, what the hell!

Troegs Dead Reckoning. I was so excited for it. And so disappointed.

I thought Russian River's Pliny The Elder sucked. Very disappointing. Bitter...yuck.

If it's bad to them, it's a "bad beer". I'm glad I could straighten that out.

Again, personal preference. I don't agree with a lot, but there are some definite bad ones on this list.

I thought Devil Dancer was excellent. I only had this years batch though. I heard it wasn't as good previous years.

I suppose it's not horrible, but when everything else you produce is world-class, a lower-end "funked" porter just doesn't make the grade.

Tried this at Savor and was pretty underwhelmed.

This is completely subjective. Had no intention in getting a rise out of people. I had tried it three weeks ago and just thought it was underwhelming. Just because its a "world class beer" does not mean everyone has the same view or opinion.

As already mentioned, Sam Adams Cranberry Lambic is truly awful. I'll also throw in a vote for North Coast Ruedrichs Red Seal. I wonderered if they had put actual seal in it. And Summit 100% organic made me gag quite a bit (But I'll drink Saga by the bucket load)

Grand Teton Snarling Badger Berliner Weisse. A horrible beer from a good brewery.
