Price Gouging is generally in reference to necessities like food and fuel, beer is not a necessity, hence it isn't gouging, you are more than welcome to look up the definition yourself. That is why I said heavily inflated.

Plus their market was not 250% percent, it was closed to 350% to 400%.

Yeah I do that too, I guess I'm just a mass consumer, too much time on BA makes me crave beer I can't have.

I'm sure my wife would like to know first, but I'll keep you in mind. Skimming cash off the business is legitimately beer money before all else.

Fair enough. As for the "beer desert" comment, any place with a Total Wine (or multiple) is no beer desert sir/ma'am.

I agree with you about Total Wine but you are assuming I live in Phoenix and not two hours North. 4 hour round trip hoping they still have a new release in stock by the time I get there is not worth it. The only nice thing about living up here as far as the craft beer scene is that there is only like 4 people that know when beer is released. For example my town only got one case of Parabola this year and over a month period I bought 5 of them because apparently no one else cares.

Tough to "fix" this, but perhaps filling others in with like interests in your area as to what 'good craft beer' is, and you won't have to make the long drive. More Sales->More Distribution->More Sales-->Repeat.

I would have purchased a bottle at that price because I missed out on it this year.

It really is similar to scalping tickets to a show. The longer customers continue to support purchasing beers way above cost, the longer this sort of incident will continue to occur.

Start trading. That's crazy to spend that kind of money on those beers.
