Does anyone know how strictly they will be enforcing the names that appear on the tickets? Due to conflicts two friends who bought tickets can no longer go and two others will be going in their place. I've tried contacting Societe but they have yet to respond.

Societe will usually respond to email inquiries within 4 months.

Yes, Steve Lesinksi, the tasting room manager, has gotten back to me within a couple of hours each time I've emailed them.

As far as your question, they did send out an e-mail saying: "Please make sure you bring a valid government ID. It will be used to match our records of purchased tickets. You will NOT be allowed inside without it!"

But maybe if you arrange it ahead of time, they can have the name(s) on the list changed (?)

I sent them a message on Facebook asking this exact question, and they told me to contact BrownPaperTickets. BPT responded very promptly and told me it's a complete non-issue if the name on the ticket doesn't match the name of the person using the ticket.

I'm a bit concerned, since Societe specifically sent out an email reminding people to bring ID so they can verify purchased tickets, but they were asked a direct question and chose to have me contact BPT.

Yeah I've done about all I can to contact them, so hopefully they don't give us shit at the door.

Your best bet is going there if you can and talking to them.. I bought my tickets onsite didn't mess with BPT

Yeah - that works out really well.

It's not like this is a bottle release or something. The ticket is paid for - I can't imagine that Societe would really care who ends up with it.

All the time before I make the drive down to SD to make sure they have what I'm looking for. Everytime I message them I dont get a response back till after the fact. It's a helluva drive to SD and end up with nothing.

I only go to Societe, ABC or now the Stone Oceanside. The rest I can usually find up here.

How long had you been trying to contact them, FWIW?

Can you share what they said, especially if it differs from what BrownPaperTickets told me? I'm buying a ticket for a friend from someone who got in touch with me - is there anything I need to do as far as informing Societe/BPT of the resale?

Aztec Berewing Co? No one calls Alpine "ABC" as it refers to a historic brewing company. Its just Alpine.

The Gunman has made quite a few statements about our good county that seem a bit strange. I'm starting to wonder if he's Pat himself, with a poor disguise.

    Thank you.

Lesson of the day - don't bother asking questions directly to breweries, just ask BA and wait for someone else to show up with the right answer.
