absolutely correct. After Vitus and Aventinus there is not a better wheat beer anywhere 100% on the money

Agreed. Hop Rod Rye is one of my favorite beers, and everything I have had from them has been solid.

Love the Holy Trinity term! We have been using the term Beermuda Triangle... but Holy Trinity might be better. Cheers,

I feel like Lonerider out of Raleigh NC flies under the radar. They have some solid offerings like Shotgun Betty, Deadeye Jack and Sweet Josie Brown.

Schell's does make some fine beers. Was really fond of Hopfenmalz but truly sad so see it was left by the wayside.

My other would have to be Central Waters. Always making great beer, and the owners are great people to boot.

I agree about Bear Republic, another great Cali brewery. Hop Rod Rye is nectar of the gods.

Gotta go with Uinta and Sixpoint here. Uinta have some righteous brews, Hop Notch, Dubhe and I was blown away by Labyrinth.

Sixpoint makes some solid brews as well. 3 Beans, Apollo, Bengali Tiger, Resin to name a few.

I will receive few their beers soon. Interesting brewery, and almost all of their beers are relative low ABV.

Have you had many of them?

I agree with both of these. I especially love New Holland.

I have had 6 of their so far. Some right before they opened & some now, a year latter. I feel like they really improved a lot since their start. Their fruit beers seem to be their strongest asset but everything has been good so far. Some of the early ones were kind of weird but they also used really odd ingredients like seaweed.

So, you're saying that i should pick up the 4-pack of siberian night that has been sitting in the cooler for the last 6 months at my liquor store?

Victory. They do a wide variety of styles and while some of them are exceptional (Prima Pils, Hop Wallop) I don't think I've ever had a bad beer from them. I don't know how wide their distribution is, but for those of us in Southeastern PA, about the only local brewery I'd put in the same class is Troegs (another underappreciated gem)

I'd also second the mention of Sierra Nevada above. I think they're partially a victim of their own success. They've been doing so much so well for so long that I think people tend to take them for granted.

The other thing I'd like to point out about both Victory and SN is that they both produce outstanding beers and manage to sell them for $2-3 less per six pack than many of their far less accomplished competitors. Good on them both.

Some people have mentioned Victory-- I think they do get respect.. .and they deserve it. Others have mentioned Two Roads... this brewery is great, but they are barely 1-year old. I predict in a few years Two Roads will not be mentioned in a string about breweries that don't get enough appreciation, they will be flying high.

Just moved from Michigan, so a few under-appreciated from there (some already mentioned):
    Dark Horse
    Greenbush
    ODD SIDE!!!
Shorts (although it seems to be pretty appreciated in Michigan)
    Witch's Hat
Brewery Vivant - feel like it's overshadowed by Founders, but the beers at the brewpub are stellar!

New Holland is not bad, but I feel the others are superior.

Was just having this conversation the other day. Pretty much anything German they crush. Bohemian Pilsner is to this day the best Pilsner I've ever tasted. So basically the 768th best beer in the world.
