Who defines "good beer"? A minority who drink "craft" beer , which isn't even properly defined or the vast majority who think that BMC (or Euro-lager on this side of the pond) is the bees' knees ?
I drink the beer that I like. I don't drink beer in a pub which only serves keg but masses of other people are happy to, it's simply personal preference.

In Texas, even if they don't have "craft beer", they always have Shiner Bock.

I'm like lots of you above. If there's no decent craft beer, I'll drink a Jägermeister or some other concoction. I just can't stomach terrible beer. I've tried that before and ended up spitting it back out, an affront to my taste buds. Same with wine… if it's not a decent one, I'm not going to start drinking it out of plastic box.

If it's not a beer I want to drink, then thanks, but no thanks.
    That includes BMC & craft.

You can call me a snob, or say I have bad manners.
You can say some beer is better than no beer.

It really just comes down to the fact that my activity level & schedule doesn't leave room for things I'm not thrilled about drinking.

I've become the same why maybe I'm a beer snob but drinking beer thats mostly water for 3.75 just seems like a waste when i can go get a dcent beer for 6 bucks.that has tons of flavor and is at least 9 to 11%abv

But then the thread is meaningless.Good or bad beer is a matter of personal opinion and taste. To me "good" beer is that which I enjoy and want to drink."Bad" beer is stuff which I don't want to drink. The question becomes "do you voluntarily drink beer you don't like?"
Some "big" beer is quite palatable and some craft beer I simply don't enjoy. But that's just me.

Quite right. Whether a beer is 'bad' or not (skunking and other rancidness excluded) is often whether the beer is appropriate for the situation. If I was mowing my lawn on a hot Summer's day and the neighbor offered me a can of Coors Light that might be ok for that situation. Were he to bring over a 6 pack of that stuff to watch a game in my living room, I would politely suggest that as host I've got plenty of beer to share. The truth is there is a big difference between a truly awful beer that one cannot force down and a mediocre beer that is simply bland and boring. The former I would never drink, the latter I would as long as I am not paying and there is no meal involved that would require a much better beer.

It's all situational. I found myself drinking Yuengling at a backwoods bar near the family homestead in Pennsylvania's Allegheny Mountains. I wouldn't normally go near the stuff - not a lager guy - but really enjoyed it as compared to my prior visit, the only "choices" were Bud and Iron City - real headache material.

Sometimes people get too much into that anti-elitist, elitist mindset. "Oh my goodness, I don't want to be labeled as a snob by refusing a Bud Light offered to me!" Hell, if I hate it, I won't drink it. The liver can only take so much of a beating so it might as well be the good stuff.

If you don't like the taste of something, politely refusing is not "bad manners."

I don't like the taste of artificial sweeteners. If you put 10 cups of soda in front of me and five had artificial sweeteners in them, I could pick each one out. I politely refuse artificially sweetened drinks every time they're offered, and if someone asks, I tell them why. And I've never had a friend or family member feel insulted or react with hurt feelings.

I don't get this whole beer culture thing that if you won't drink an AAL, you're violating something in the man code and your drinking buddies will have their poor little feelings hurt.

I go against the trend here. Where I live there's not craft options besides samadans at 4.50 a pint abs they have yuengling on draft for like 7.00 so I usually get that.

If I walk into a bar and the only beers available are your typical mass-produced sports bar staples, I'm not going to order a beer. Not because I have a "craft or nothing" political mantra or a chip on my shoulder when it comes with beer, but because I would rather have something that, for me, is more interesting and flavorful, and I can usually get that with a simple cocktail.

I like the taste of some "cheap" or "bad" beers, so I buy them from time to time.

I usually don't drink outside of my home. I don't find the bar scene appealing at all, and usually bring home Friday night what I want to drink that weekend if I'm going to drink at all. So it goes without saying that i'd rather have good ber than something I'm not going to eenjoy.

I'll try to appreciate most any beer on occasion, not limited to craft, although craft certainy garners more of my consumption.

It's all relative to the situation. While I will sooner drink a mojito or margarita than drink BMC, if I'm attending a social gathering at a bar and the best thing they have is Magic Hat #9, I'll go for it.
