Sure, La Pienture, their "neo-lambic/Flanders hybrid", has been on tap a few times. They also have a number of bretted brews, Goedenacht being the only one distributed outside their tasting room.

They have the Rapture on tap down at Fat Heads...wonder how much a growler fill would be...

the only thing ive ever heard about draai laag was from a buddy of mine. a wounded iraqi war vet. apparently so is one of their owners or brewers. the guy told my friend to stop down as he would like to meet him. when he and his wife arrived, the woman there told my friend, "we cannot confirm or deny anyone works here". ha ha wtf is that? there's a lot more to the conversation than that, but i found it to be pretty damn funny

The brewery is a hike from the city, but growler fills are usually $10-12. The first time I went out was fun because they gave an awesome impromptu tour and then had a bunch of home brew sixtels in the cooler that they let me and the wife try.

I need to make a trip to their tasting room. Maybe when I head to Roundabout. Since I stopped working downtown my trips into the city are few and far between.

Who else checked out Roundabout today? Thoughts? It was an hour plus wait for growlers and I thought there were done solid beers. Excited to see how they progress.

I waited for about 30 minutes before having to head home. Wa-waaah.

Grabbed a growler of Ginga Wheat. Thought their stuff was solid, although the opening seemed a bit overwhelming for them. I'd like to check them out again 'once the dust settles.'

Overwhelming? I got the impression that they had things pretty well in hand. It was very organized, nobody seemed rushed or inundated. What makes you say that?

I thing they had things in hand, but I don't know if they meant for people to be waiting for 1.5+ hours to grab a growler. They seemed to be still working out the kinks in the system. I don't know if trying to have a non-iPhone POS system, prefilled growlers, or simply just more people would've helped, but it was still a good experience for me going there.

I think people were waiting 1.5+ hours because there were a lot of people there, nothing to do with "kinks in the system".

Stopped by around 4:00pm Saturday for a growler...there were only 5 people ahead of me....took home a growler of Ferdl Weiss...about 15 people behind me when I left.
It's a good interesting Weizen. Sort of in the middle between a heffe and a dunkel weizen.
East End Brewing Co. has Monkey Boy (heffe), Monkey Girl (dunkel weiss), and Monkey's Uncle (weizen bock). Pittsburgh now has a fourth weissbier in Roundabout's Ferdl Weiss (amber weiss)
(Penn Brewery also has the same three weissbiers as East End)

Overall, the husband and wife at Roundabout's were very friendly (considering how exhausted they must have been), and the Ferdl Weiss was pretty good.

The Ginga Wheat and the Hy-Pa stood out to me. Sounded like some interesting stuff is coming down the road. I was very pleased to hear Steve will be brewing Heinne's Hooch again.

How much were the growlers + fills at roundabout? Worth getting some?

They were $4 for the growler and $13 for the fill. I think it is worth getting some. I thought they were pretty solid first offerings. Hopefully this speaks to what will come in the future.

The website seems to indicate that they will fill non-house growlers. I thought that was a no-no in PA.
