The Avenue Pub said "Because there is always only ONE keg of Zwanze, we cellar beers all year long for tapping on that day and we encourage our guests to think past just Zwanze". I just wanted to point out that I thought it was a little ironic that BB1 and 2 were $14 a bottle.... #befriendly.....just kidding so nobody get offended..lol

 

Could care less about Zwanze. I just want St Lamvinus and hoping they surprise add Fou Foune to the tap list. St. Lamvinus....ON DRAFT.

 

Yeah I know that is an awesome tap list over the weekend. I just thought it was kind of funny considering the uproar about the FS in San Antonio. Just giving a weak attempt at some BA humor. I freaking love NOLA and would be in heaven at that place on Zwanze Day with all of the great beer there not to mention I would get to eat at Mothers which is the absolute best place IMO to get a Po Boy or any other sandwich in NOLA.

 

What if Zwanze is better than St. Lam?

 

Well looks like I'll be crashing with a few other BA's in a house/apartment with a kitchen. Can cook up a bad ass meal for everyone to save a little $$. Definitely looking forward to some good restaurant food though.

 

Then I will pull a fire alarm and steal the keg*

*I had to lug and tap a full 1/2 gallon keg once at a previous job. No joke how heavy those are.

 

Mother's is great, especially for comfort food. Check out anything on Frenchmen St as well. Adolfo's is one of the best places I have been, not to mention Apple Barrel right below the restaurant, which is one of the best music venues in the city. Well everything on Frenchmen St can claim that...

God, I wish there was anyplace in Texas be it Houston, Austin, SA, Dallas, whatever, that could have the best restaurants and music around...Austin kind of has a good music scene, but nothing compared to NOLA (for all those that take offense, just look at my avatar). Just another reason for me to go to Avenue Pub

I love Frenchmen Street! I saw some incredible live music there at like 3am haha. Good music scene there as well if jazz is your thing. Soul Rebels were bad ass when I saw them there. Incredible city and I can't wait to revisit.

 

I hope it's a tripel and not the stout they brewed. I hear the 3 Fonteinen zwet.b is weaksauce, and that the Cantillon could be similar. Then again....Cantillon spontaneously fermented stout....
