Ha! For a while, I was on a kick of drinking Grapefruit juice, just to confirm I was tasting that in certain IPA/DIPAs. I think now that I'm hooked on GFJ more than OJ.

yeah, but when compared to Sucks, it well,.... you get the idea. I just famously down intense DIPAs instead. They also tend to be off-puttingly sugary to me because of the soda component.

I'll be glad when Sucks returns. Damn hop shortage.

Don't hit them, that's stupid. You should drink them.

How is it a mixed drink when it comes directly out of the tap?

because it's beer mixed with lemonade, etc.

i spike beer with bourbon all the time. if you spiked a keg with bourbon, it wouldn't make much sense to review it as a new style.

notably, if a brewery was half-assed enough to just add some bourbon to a keg and serve it as "bourbon [name of beer]" (maybe even add some oak chips and make it "bourbon oaked [name of beer]" and you reviewed the beer, it would be the same style as before they put the bourbon in, just a new beer. maybe it would go from RIS to american double stout, but that's just b/c that category distinction is silly.

The same way that pre-mixed daiquiris and margaritas are a mixed drink even if they come pre-made. A radler or shandy is simply a mixture of beer and lemonade/juice/soda.

OK, if we accept that they are a "Mixed Drink", why are they even allowed on the site? This isn't Cocktail Advocate. If it's OK to list them as a vegetable beer, why not let be what they are? I'm not arguing for the sake of arguing, I truly don't understand what seems to be a double standard.

Really they should not be reviewed on this site, just as Meads are no longer allowed. However, some breweries make them, and put them in kegs, bottles, and/or cans, and so users add them to the database and review them.

I agree though that either they should all be deleted, or they should be all be dumped into some kind of category. Having them in "Fruit Beers" is a disservice to real fruit beers, but there is not another style where they can be lumped (you would not want a Shandy/Radler subdivision of every beer style).
