Steves, Rileys, Trixies, Woodmans, and other places. It's not hard to find.

Thanks, didn't know if it hit everywhere yet. Sister hooked me up. Can't wait to try it. NG always kills it with these thumbprints/unpluggeds.

You should have picked up a case of Winter Warmer to help clear out the old stock. :grinning:

The IIPA is great. I have 3 left from my trip to WI. I love Moon Man more than anything though.

If you want to be "technical" about it, then I guess you're wrong. Since New Glarus is a commercial brewery, you really should be looking at Brewers Association Guidelines which has it categorized under German Origin with other German beers. BJCP is for homebrewers, a separate set.

    BA Guidelines:
    "Berliner-Style Weisse (Wheat)
Berliner-style Weisse is straw to pale in color and the lightest of all the German wheat beers. Malt sweetness is absent. Hop bitterness is none to very low. Hop flavor and aroma is absent. The unique combination of yeast and lactic acid bacteria fermentation yields a beer that is acidic and highly attenuated. It has a very light body. The carbonation of a Berliner Weisse is high. Clarity may be hazy or cloudy from yeast or chill haze. Fruity esters will be evident. No diacetyl should be perceived. Original Gravity (oPlato) 1.028-1.032 (7-8 oPlato) ● Apparent Extract/Final Gravity (oPlato) 1.004-1.006 (1-1.5 oPlato) ● Alcohol by Weight (Volume) 2.2-2.7% (2.8-3.4%) Bitterness (IBU) 3-6 Color SRM (EBC) 2-4 (4-8 EBC)"

    Cheers,

I haven't seen a Thumbprint beer disappear from Madison shelves in under 2 months since they switched the labeling from Unplugged to Thumbprint. Hell, there was still some of the Thumbprint Saison sitting around six months after it was released. I'm pretty sure Deb and Dan don't put things out under the Thumbprint label unless they know they have a pretty decent quantity to distribute. The Barleywine and IIPA probably were around for the shortest time but it was probably going on three months before they were sold out.

Don't worry, man--even if this one is gone there are plenty of others coming down the line... can't have everything even if you want to.

Hrmm. Maybe I just tried the wrong store last time. Good to know at least, now I won't skip Madison on my Chicago-Twin Cities' runs if a Thumbprint has been out for more than a month. Cheers.

Was in Madison Saturday and there was plenty of Wild Sour to be had.

I was getting pissed that I couldn't find any local until I dug around and found it was behind all of the winter warmer they had left over, I really like this.

I feel very fortunate that my girlfriend's parents are from/live in Wisconsin. I sent her dad a lest of NG beers I was looking for and BINGO, he found all but one. I hope to have a care package coming to me in the neext week or so. This will be included!

I was up in Northern WI (cabin country)... very surprised it wasn't flying off the shelves! I heard things like, "it tastes like vinegar" Haha... it's def not spotted cow. I love it, and I cleaned them out so they don't have to worry about trying to sell "Bad Beer"

I feel like Spotted Cow is their way of appealing to PBR drinkers. The wild sour is at a whole different level. I had another last night and liked it even more than the one I had over the weekend. Out of Dancing Man, Moon Man and Wild Sour I'm having trouble picking my favorite NG beer.

Yes, I agree 100%... moon man is such a good easy drinking pale, it's my favorite "bring to family events" beer because it is so approachable. Dancing Man is also great, trying to compare either of those to this Wild Sour is tough, it's like apples and oranges (almost literally).

Spotted Cow is their flagship beer in the sense that you CANNOT go to a bar (or many restaurants) and not find it. Hopefully it does a good job of getting people interested in trying the rest of the NG lineup.

My local store has gone through 20 cases in a week and a half. Ordered 15 more for delivery and hopes to get all 15. I think this may be a Thumbprint that is gone way too fast. I've already bought 2 cases and plan to buy more. $2.50 a bottle, local, easy to get (for now), and awesome=easy decision!
