Oh man, thank you for that. That was truly horrible. What does "Things what we do" even mean?

I'm in Carroll Iowa, about an hour and a half from Des Moines and we sold out of 2013 Saison Brett pretty quick as well. Oddly though 2 cases of last years release showed up last week from our distributor. Nor.ally that would suck, handing out year old product, but in this case, I say tanks for saving me the cellar space, lol. BM me too if you need some Saison Brett, have a case of last 2 vintages.

If you're still looking for Saison-Brett it's everywhere in DFW. I seem to be the only person around here smart enough to enjoy it.

Yeah I've paid from $12 up to $13.50 here in NC for Saison-Brett. Still a bunch sitting around at most shops.

I will probably regret asking this but is Love Child #3 still around Kansas City (I figure it probably isn't)? I know absolutely nothing about the brewery. My folks will be in that area for a short time this week and will be paying a visit to Boulevard on my behalf to pick up some beers, they do have a store right? Is SB available there as well? If neither are available, what is worth picking up? Thanks for any comments!

Love Child can be found in the right stores in Kansas City. However, I bought my stash of Love Child a couple months ago, so I would have a hard time suggesting somewhere that would definitely have some.

But one important note: I don't believe you can buy beers at Boulevard, unless something has changed since my last visit. I think it has to do with Kansas liquor laws about not being able to have a full-scale brewery and retail shop share space. But don't quote me on that reasoning.

My best suggestion for finding both SB and Love Child is at a place called Bier Station in the Waldo neighborhood. They will typically hold back a case or few of special beers so that they can offer them well after the other liquor stores in the area are sold out. When I was in there two weeks ago, it looked like they still had both Love Child and Saison-Brett bottles. If your folks are willing to take a minor road trip, I've seen bottles of both in several liquor stores in Lawrence (about 30 minutes West of KC on I-70).

Outside of those two, there are a ton of great beers in both their Smokestack series (big bottles) and their regular lineup. My personal suggestions:

    Smokestack:
    • Tank 7 (essentially the base beer used for Saison-Brett)
    • Long Strange Tripel
    • Grainstorm Black Rye IPA (this is a seasonal from the spring, but you might still see some around)
    • Dark Truth Stout
    • The Sixth Glass

    Regular:
    • 80-Acre Hoppy Wheat
    • Pale Ale
    • Single-Wide IPA
    • Zon (I love this beer, but I know it gets mixed reviews--it's a Belgian witbier)

What I've found is that if a good beer in chicago survives one week after being released, it will stick around on shelves for months. I was shocked to see that Victory at Seas is still just aging on the shelves. And if its from the last bottling, its recommended to be drunk by September.

Well, they've only been around for just over a year now. And with their brewing schedule they probably don't have any time to worry about the site.
