The obvious to me is stone ruination??? Well kinda.

To me the ruinten was a big DIPA what a lot of hops, heavier/syrupy body, kinda sweet and with some alchool presence. With that I would recommend the following:

    SN hoptimum
Knee deep Simtra and hop shortage (distro in Ohio)
Great Divide Hercules (on the sweeter side)

The unique thing about Ruinten to me was the citra hops, that gave it a nice fruity/tropical aroma that the other 10% ABV IPAs don't have.

Great beers can be imitated but not duplicated.

RuinTen is somewhat unique, but Sierra Nevada Hoptimum is the one that immediately comes to mind. Both hit hard too.

Agreed with above Hoptimum instantly popped in my head, very similar DIPA.

You might like Three Floyds Dreadnaught if you can get that, Dogfish Head 90 minute or Lagunitas Hop Stoopid.

I love this beer so would love to hear similar beers also. Although very good, I don't get the aroma in Hoptimum, Hercules or 90 minute that I do with Ruin 10. The only DIpa's that even come close on both aroma and taste are Enjoy By and Avery Twenty.

Hoptimum is like RuinTen in what way? Because they are both the same style? Hoptimum doesn't have nearly the same juicy, citrusy aroma nor taste. Not even close. I'd say try some regular Ruination IPA or Stone IPA.

Definitely Dreadnaught. It blows away RuinTen in my opinion.

I'd say Hoptimum as well. Both that and Ruinten are some boozy IPAs, tasty but boozy.

 Do you work for Stone by any chance? I couldn't help but notice all the Stone related threads you start, plus your avatar.

    Just sayin'.

There are definitely similarities between Hoptimum and RuinTen, notably the presence of alcohol and the hop-driven flavors. Individuals can disagree to the degree in which these two beers differ in taste and aroma, but it surprises me that the only similarity that you see between the two is the style that they represent.

Do you honestly believe that Stone IPA is more similar to RuinTen than Hoptimum?

I'd say Hoptimum for sure and I also think Avery Maharaja is similar, and even better than Hoptimum. Founders Double Trouble also has that awesome citrus flavor but is not quite as in your face with the hops as RuinTen. I do like Hoptimum but something about is just off to me.

Well said. I made that recommendation solely based on that if he had liked RuinTen he may find enjoyment in the regular IPA as well. Hoptimum is closer in style but IMO has no where near the same flavor and aroma profile, which matters more to me when someone asks someone to "suggest a similar or close to beer i might enjoy."

Honestly, RuinTen was hugely different for my palate than Ruination; so much juicier and sweeter (and boozier). Also was the first DIPA I had with that overwhelming "cat pee" scent.

Hoptimum is a good one; I don't find it as boozy as others, I guess, but it's definitely pretty sweet. Double Trouble isn't that far off IMO, either. EnjoyBy isn't nearly as malty to me, but it's certainly a huge, hoppy IPA.

Honestly, I haven't had any beers with an extremely similar quality to RuinTen, but suggest the above beers with the attached qualifiers.

Well said. The OP didn't really clarify what he liked about it. Did he like the style the balance, the juiciness, stickyness...ok you get my point. just so many variables.
