Man this sounds good! Officially on the lookout for this one. Another wild/sour ale brewer in the Mid Hudson Valley, life is good.

Planet Funkotron, the first beer in our Brettanomyces trilogy, is being shipped out today! Planet Funkotron begins with a grain bill reminiscent of Belgian Wit Beer. It is brewed with 40% wheat and has additions of Orange Peel, Coriander, and Grains of Paradise. However, the addition of Brettanomyces gives the beer complex notes of pear and tropical fruit with a slight tartness.

No bottling, I am assuming they will do fills at the brewery of this since they sent some out, but it might go quickly like Dogs Bollocks did. I am broke, but probably won't be able to pass up getting some of this on Sat.

To paraphrase the Fabulous Furry Freak Bros, remember this: Beer will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no beer.

May just have to head up to Rushing Duck for the first time this weekend. My Peekskill growlers have been empty too long as well.

Had a great time at the brewery as usual saturday, there was even some war elephant left! Planet Funkotron was good, if they bottled it i'd definitely let this one sit for a while. Apparantly they have their first bottled release, a ba barleywine, coming out in late summer/early fall. Very excited for that as everything else I've tried from them so far has been great. Another solid brewery from the hudson valley, wish i lived closer I'd be there every weekend.

Dogs Bollocks is delicious, glad they are bottling it. We are lucky around here, gotta say I never saw it coming. Another great brewery opens this fall in Poughkeepsie, Mill Street Brewing, a brewpub with two of my friends as brewmasters. And 3 more are also slated to open soon.

Anyone want to swap a growler or some beers so I can try this?

    Thanks.

Had this tonight at the Excelsior Pub in Albany. Solid beer but not as funky as the name would lead one to believe. Glad I had the chance to try it. Like LopeJuice said, if the brett were given time to develop it would be even better.

Have they made it to the city yet? I've heard nothing but good things but have yet to see any.

I had RD Naysayer last week and that beer is great. Funkatron is not as successful in my opinion.
