while technically not the same beer, there is this variant. very good stuff and definitely sour.

i have a couple left and i noticed on one of them there might have been some leakage but hoping to knock one out soon.

i have a bottle of this, i hear great things. waiting for the occasion.

As posted above, Small Animal Big Machine had a couple barrel treatments. Enjoyed the Brett one more than the original. The last of my original bottles shows no signs of leakage.

Half Acre is so awesome that if you want something a little special, show up to a release day with a bottle of something else special. They will gladly pull out something to offer as trade. At least, that's been my experience. I gave up BCBS for the special Small Animal Big Machine. A buddy of mine showed up with a bottle of DarkLord and walked away with twice his allotment of DDC.

I sent a bottle of Small Animal and the bottle cap just fell off in the mail. No breakage or anything. Kudos to Half Acre though for being one of the best breweries in regards to customer service.

What? My experience differed. I emailed and got no response. When I brought up the capping failures in person they told me I should buy a homebrew capper and seal the bottles myself. :grimacing: Glad to hear that that things have changed for the better.

wow, bummer. my first bottle spilled in my bag which i was (i ended up with a couple of more after a buddy moved and gave me some random stuff) bummed about. That same time they blogged about their capper machine not doing a good job recently. they mentioned to email them if there were issues and to bring back the busted bottles. gabriel replied immediately and he hooked me up with something else.

Wow, yeah I sent an email and they offered me a free growler and also gave me a bottle of BA ambrosia for the problem. That sucks that they gave you attitude.

Can anyone guess whether I'll be able to swing by around 6:00 this evening and still get a growler fill? How fast do these offerings usually kick?

    Thanks

No way to tell. I'd guess that you should be fine - but I'm sure if you check back in this thread this evening somebody will have posted an update.

If I had to guess, I would say you should be fine, for most of the brewery only releases I have had no problem strolling through there around 6pm and grabbing my bottle allotment, and I would venture to guess that most people will be buying bottles and not growler fills so the tap should last for a while(im hoping it lasts till Sunday morning.)

That must have been the barrel-aged version? Someone linked to it above.

Yeah, saw that afterwards, didn't realize the original wasn't BA. Well, the BA version was mighty tasty.

Should get in line to taste it first.... I haven't heard good things in early reviews

*this is just the report of a few people. I hope they're wrong as I was looking forward to this. I'm anxious to hear more reviews
