Question: Where's your hotel? Do you have one yet?

I think Coors' hours on Sunday are noon-4. But if you just wanna see how big it is, then a quick drive by will work. I think it's still the longest brewing complex in the universe---like 5 miles or something. If want to take a good picture of Coors, the bridge on Washington St offers a good view of the creek, trees and Coors. Ford St bridge is good, too.

The good thing about downtown Denver is that most places are close. While some scratch off Denver Beer Co, it would be worth a stop for a beer and see it. 20min isn't going to kill your day, especially if you go to (MUST) Prost. Same goes for Trve, Wits, Strange, Renegade, Rackhouse/Stranahans, Hogshead.

Two of the good things about Crooked Stave is the low(er) abv beers, and half pours.

On Monday, you can flip flop Wynkoop and Breck (assuming you mean Breck downtown). Have early lunch at 'Koop, hit Falling Rock, Great Divide, RiverNorth, early dinner at Breck, Rockies game (Sandlot beers), Freshcraft after game, hotel >> pass out.

Def a budget in place for that. That actually was going to be another question, best stores for rarer beers. I am hoping Crooked Stave has some bottles for sale at the tasting room so I can get some of those to take home.

I feel like we had a completely different experience. The service was quick and the food I ordered was pretty tasty. The server didn't know much about the beer, but she was friendly nonetheless. I like the direction they are headed with their beers.

    I like your style sir!

We are staying Sat, Sun, and Mon night at Best Western Plus in Denver on Quebec street.
Tues we drive to Longmount then up to Fort Collins, staying at Lakeside KOA for 4 nights, then driving back to Boulder and Denver Saturday, staying at the Best Western Plus again, drive home Sunday, and luckily off work Monday for Labor Day!

Maybe a consistency issue? I'm moving to that area next month, so I'll be checking back with them to see if they've improved.

How much would you budget per day for drinking if you were making this trip and your wife/girlfriend also loved craft beer? I have a separate budget for growler fills and bottles.

Anywhere from $100 to $1000...the higher end being for when us BAs show up for beers on you.

But seriously, $100 a day? Figure about $10 for a flight, times 2 for your wife = $20 per brewery, average of 3 breweries a day = $60/day plus $40 for shirts, glasses, bottles and beers.

You might want to check out http://stapletontaphouse.com/ They are just down the street and around the corner from your hotel.

They will be opening the end of this month. They are planning to carry only beers from the smaller Colorado breweries that are not represented in most places.

He's going to spend $50 per person a day on beer at breweries and drive from place to place? That doesn't sounds like a good idea.

He could easily bike to many of these places and will have access to bike libraries.

We will be cabbing it in Denver, and fort collins stuff is mostly walking distance. $50 over the course of a day with craft beer is not that much drinking.

Correct and thats $50/day between two people. A flight at most places is maybe a beer or two.

Do the majority if not all of the place I have listed/suggested in this thread have flights? I know I will have pints here and there, especially any sours, but I'd love to get to try as many different beers as I can!

I made sure to do Oskar Blues on Tasty Tuesday to get to try a small batch!

If they don't have flight, you can always purchase a taster size of 3-5 ounces.

Pretty much everyone does flights. Not Falling Rock if you go there, but that really doesn't matter, because it's...Falling Rock.

Hops and Pie does tasters though. Which is another place I highly recommend.
