    Some solid points , but this site is more of a hobby. How can you know any stranger half a continent away without this kinda site? Basic trust is earned /given by reputation and repeation. If anyone is happy drinking local shelf brews that's fine, but trading has opened me up to brews I'd never get or even know about without this site. I hate the beer stealing assholes, but they're a very small minority. Sorry I'm not doing an FBI level background check for $ 30 of beer.

    This was where it took a dive for me too. Mostly agree, but I've gotten a lot of things from trading that blow away anything I can get locally, or if it does come locally, it sells out in about 30 minutes aka occasional Cantillon.

    No, get the term right, when you get all riled up into a rant it is called curmudgeonly. Cranky more describes what is likely your response to other peeves, like children playing loudly near to your home, or too many commercials on TV.

    I remember the beer awfulness of the late 60's, and the 70's, and all it makes me is thankful for what we have now, and to want to share it with folks, and drink to how fucking good it is to be a fine beer lover in America 2013.
