Picked this off the Miami Herald AP feed (originally from Pioneer Press):

    Craft Brewing Booms in Minnesota

    Excerpt:
The "lowering of standards" meme has been present in a number of generally positive articles recently on expansion of craft brewing.

Frankly, the "standards" have been raised drastically over the last 10 years. If some new players want to kill themselves off by introducing shitty product, well, cheers, and enjoy the ride.

Exactly. That sentiment makes it sound as though we, the consumers and advocates won't be able to identify quality or shitty products when we try them. Let the brewers create, and leave the opinions on quality up to us. I PROMISE, we won't hold back on telling the breweries how we really feel.

What the Hell is "the Disneyland of Beer"? Are there rides of beer to go on in Vermont? Are there giant costumed beer mascots waving to you?
Minnesota has 72 breweries at last count, Vermont has 35. Wee, it's Disneyland!
    Whatever.

You'll have to ask the VBA. But the population of Minnesota is more than 4x that of Vermont, so there are more breweries per capita in Vermont (or fewer people per brewery, as the article describes). You can't hit a population center in Vermont without finding a brewery nearby (of course, there aren't that many population centers...):stuck_out_tongue::confused:

And depending on where you take your car there are lots of sharp curves and ups and downs getting from one nearby brewery to another. :-)

Minnesotans like to drink, and they have a shitton of freshwater options and a lot of cold nights. Lot of silly laws still in place in the many of the towns and suburbs, and that Sunday thing for buying. But. For population centers; there will definitely be a saturation point in product for the consumer. But, it'll be a fun ride, and Minneapolis is very bicycle friendly. It's just that their drivers are stupid.
