BA Abraxas. Had in on tap but no bottles. Missed it selling out by a couple minutes and couldn't get any locals to trade me one despite offering good stuff

For me "Half Acre Double Daisy Cutter" the whole damn brewery eludes me. 30 min away without Chicago traffic and when I can get there it's always gone. Even after known release.

Where does the line form for this list? I went to a grad party and an annual family party on the day of the KBBS release. Would like to say I've got my priorities in place and the two friendships mean more than beer, but there are times when I question my decision.

Some of the very early Crooked Stave beers are pretty rare now.
Other than those, the only other rare beers from CO would be a few of the Avery BA beers and Bristol's Venetucci Pumpkin, which I've still never had.

I think it would be hilarious if BA's from other parts of the country contacted some of the people in this thread and offered to trade them their own local, "elusive", beers.

The cool thing about this type of thread is that it can lead to people meeting other local BA's and forming tasting groups, friendships, etc. - "Hey, I've got X beer you're looking for, what area of the city do you live in? Let's get together sometime and open one."

Orbiter and Illudium from Straight to Ale. I always miss Illudium and I don't even know if they've brewed Orbiter since 2010.

I almost listed that one, but didn't because I like our chances with the taproom showing a willingness to pour Cacao Bender on a regular basis. I hoping Moe's Bender will be in the lineup for the grand opening. I'm out of luck if that happens during the first week and a half in August.

While I missed out on many of the early Crooked Stave and BA Avery beers, I will go with a common beer that I still have not had and that is Upslope Christmas Ale. I have seen it and just forgot to buy it and then GONE!

Aside from the impossible to find Samuel Adams Triple Bock & Millenium I'll go with

Jack's Abby Vanilla Barrel Aged Framinghammer
Jack's Abby Coffee Barrel Aged Framinghammer

I missed out on both variants of Framinghammer due to them selling out in like 4 hours at the brewery. Heard that they're brewing more though.

Jack's Abby Kiwi Rising - Which I will get when they release it later on this year.

NEBCO's Ghandi-Bot - Kinda tough to find up in mid to northern RI. I've yet to see any up here.

    That's it for now.

For me it was Kiwi Rising - I had it in my grimy little hands and put it back on the shelf. Why? No clue. Maybe it was the balloon thing on the label... But I haven't made the pilgrimage to HF, haven't had a Heady Topper yet, haven't worked through the portfolio of many of the local-ish breweries.
