After a taste, I only swear at Miller High Life.

That damn label should say "Try it over rice", because I can't imagine having it again unless it's part of a sauce. Mm.. maybe lemon chicken with rice. Oh yeah...

I don't mind a margarita, but those "Canaritas" taste awful. Canaritas. Looks like carnitas. Wow. I love carnitas.

My uncle was cooking carnitas for dinner one night, sent me a pic of it. I replied, mmmmm, Carnitas. Instead my phone replaced Carnitas with Genitals. I also texted him that I was drinking a Cigar City Guava Grove, but the phone replaced Guava with Vulva. Funny stuff!

You would think so, but when you read some of the stories people here tell, it appears not to be the case. This site is replete with tales of BAs mixing with their unwashed brethren, when one side or the other will make an issue of what the other is drinking. True, it's often the macro guys making some snarky comment about a BA being snobby for choosing a craft beer, but there are also plenty of people here who talk about refusing to drink beer their friends offer them because it doesn't meet their standards (some are polite enough to refuse without a reason, others not so much) or of BAs who actively proselytize about the virtues of craft beer to friends who really don't care or want to hear about it. There have even been several threads here in which members have suggested that to be a true BA, you need to be working around the clock to convert macro drinkers to the cause. Personally, I'm happy to live and let live on the subject, but I can also see how someone who's passionate about craft beer can sometimes get a little worked up on the subject (especially after enjoying a few 7% IPAs:wink:)

I have friends who do the BMC only dance and here is my solution when I'm at their function. I've even done this at poorly stocked bars. Would I like a Coors? sure, could you fill the glass 3/4 to the top and the rest with orange juice. Because I want to taste something... BRASS MONKEY BABY ITS BACK!!!

You'd be surprised. I don't even drink the stuff 'anymore' and I can tell them apart. They each have unique flavor characteristics. Coors light tastes the most like water so that's an easy one. Then Bud Lite and Miller Lite are different enough to tell...

I once worked a ducks unlimited event in the backwoods of WI and oddly enough I thought people where going to riot when the michelob ran out and they only had Bud Light left to drink. Part of me regretted telling them just see if they noticed the switch or not

Most people in Texas who will try all of the different Shiners will try other Texas craft beers.

As for people who only drink Lite, Bud or Bud Light, or Coors Coors Light.... I blame Nascar.

A bar I worked at once ran out of bud light, the owner put Steven's Point Special to replace without telling anyone. The one true bud light snob asked if we just had lines cleaned. They are to stupid to be snobs.

I've met a couple like this.... now I don't drink any BMC, but I don't care if my friends do.. and I don't get mad if they don't want to try my craft beers.

I have no problem drinking various Shiner offerings... some call them craft... others don't.... I just think they make a solid product overall.

My friends that aren't into craft beer will ask for a Mich Gold Draft Light or "in a pinch" Coors Light :astonished:

Whatever, that leaves more crafty goody craftiness for me

To me, Sierra Nevada, Lagunitas and Goose Islans are "macro" beers. And people who drink them are just followers who think they're "craft."

And BMC I wouldn't even call beer, but rather a beer-flavored water.

That's how I feel about Guinness. I recall getting a case of 24 widget-cans for a Christmas present from an aunt and uncle when I was just turning 21. Are there better options out there for dry stouts? Yes. But that one will always occupy a dark and bubbly spot in my heart.
