With $10 12oz bottles I'm not surprised they aren't selling out in their home market and are able to expand to CA.
After the initial ticker rush, they'll collect dust next to the Nebraska & Stillwater beers.

Cheaper than the Lost Abbey 375's...

I agree with this to some extent... a high quality sour is hard to come by so I'm willing to pay $10 / 12oz. on occasion, as long as they meet the hype. Reading great reviews on these.

Stillwaters are good, but I agree that they're bit overpriced.
I have yet to try a Nebraska brew that I liked. Their prices are ridiculous.

Happy to hear this. Just hoping that they won't be beers I'll have to chase around town. Hopefully there will be enough that they'll actually hit the shelves.

Crooked Stave is not a beer company you tick, it is one you appreciate time and time again. I have no doubts that it will sell out everywhere, and remain a hot ticket item. Look at what Almanac has done in the last six months with their Farmer's Reserve series- and they don't even have the yeast game that Crooked Stave has in spades.

Edit: Oh, and they do sell out in their home market. Crooked Stave has been around a lot longer than this last round of distribution

If they send their sours in the limited quantities that Almanac sent the Farmer's Reserve, then sure, those ones will sell out.

If they try to sell their regular beers at those prices, they'll sit on the shelves just like?.... Almanac's regular releases.

I don't really concern myself with beers I have to chase, so I wasn't referring to any special or one-off's that Crooked Stave sends our way.

Their "regular" beers are the ones we are most likely going to get, and they all rank in the 90's on BA (and in my personal opinion). Unlike? Almanac's regular releases, which are all just passing the class. We'll just have to see what happens in the coming months.

Hopefully some kegs of their more special brews will make it out here for festivals, but unfortunately their one-offs will probably be reserved for members or limited tasting room releases.

Where did you get the $10 price tag from? The regular lineup are only $5.95 through the Cellar Reserve. And my trading partner in Colorado always used to pay between $6-7 for them.

Clicked on Savant their APA searched for "$" first one that comes up cites $13 but says it can be found for $10.
But, your right, I went back and other reviews further down the page say $7.

It's also a 100% brett American Pale, so it's not like it should be compared to the price point on Sierra Pale or something.
