Currently focus mostly on St. Bernardus and Triple Karmiliet. Personally I think both of those are better than La Fin Du Monde, but it is summer I think its time to find a few more of these if possible. Had an awesome one in Portland from Pints Brewery, but of course that was Portland.

    Any other recommendations?

Agreed on Devils Backbone. I really enjoy the Lips of Faith Heavenly Feijoa, Boulevard Long Strange Triple, and Affligem.

Can't go wrong with Westmalle. Also Chimay White.

I really enjoyed the Heavenly Feijoa. It had a bit of tartness to me that was right up my alley since I love sours. Not sure if that was just me but if you like a bit of tartness I really enjoyed it.

I'll second Devil's Backbone. Can't go wrong when that's on draught. As for what's readily available in TX, I'm also a fan of Long Strange Tripel by Boulevard. (512) Three is also a great choice when it randomly pops up in Austin.

I've not been a fan of any of the US-Belgians that we get in Texas, though I've not had the (512). Aside from the ones mentioned, you might be able to find Tripel Van de Garre on tap somewhere.

I think Adelbert's Tripel is quite enjoyable. I like that a "local" brewer is tackling belgian styles.

I have a soft spot for tripels so I have tried a few. In addition to everything mentioned above I always enjoy Victory Golden Monkey. I'm also not ashamed to admit that New Belgium Trippel used to be a staple of mine. It's still a quality tripel although there are more options now. Others you can look for:

    Great Divide Orabelle (winter seasonal)
    Anderson Valley Brother David's Triple
    Left Coast Asylum
Left Hand St. Vrain (I haven't tried this one yet but know its around)

If you want to try something a little different look for Green Flash's Le Freak. It's technically a melding of a Belgian Tripel and an American Imperial IPA and I always love it.

Your biggest problem is you will be comparing everything you try to the best of the best in tripels as the Tripel Karmeliet is easily tops.

The best one available in Texas is De Garre, but that's tap only and tends to blow through fast. I've only encountered it less than a handful of times.
