Spec's beer guy in Clear Lake say the distributor is telling him next Wednesday for Stone W00tstout.

 

I just picked up 2 Avery Odio Equum at Central Market (Houston)!!!!!!!!

Also picked up an Merica

He had about a case when I was there. I called a few buddies of mine to come by and get some and they both got 2 as well.

 

Did we ever see any of the Deschutes Class of 88?

I was just at the Kroger over at Westpark and Buffalo Speedway, and they still have 3 cases of Southern Tier Creme Brule, if anyone's still looking for it. No idea on the price, though. It was stacked next to the counter by the wine shelves.

 

Just drove down to check, and didn't see any . I did get some Stone IRS and a five-day-old Endeavor, though

 

Did you ask the beer guy? It was in a box on the floor next to the main stand on the end of a wine aisle.

 

I did not, because I'm awful. (He was helping somebody else, and walked away when he was done with them--I would have asked if he'd asked if I'd needed help, but hey.) I don't think that there was any on the floor, though. I paced back and forth... more times than I probably should have.

Anyone have a XXIV recently? I only picked up 2 last year and ended up shipping one to a buddy so I had not wanted to pop the only one. I remember having it on draft last year and thinking it was really harsh - needing age.

To stay on release topic, any word on BB XXV?

 

I've had it probably half a dozen times. All of them great.

I'm still sitting on 2. Probably shipped out about 5-6 of these and have opened a few more for shares.

 

Sitting on my last one, I hope its ready soon...

 

I had one about 2-3 months ago and it was fantastic. Still got 2 more.

I'd expect XXV to come here... eventually.

 

Specs downtown just got in Argus Cidery Idalou brut cider. I have had a lady goldsmith from them and it was amazing. Still have a bottle waiting for special day..

 

I HEARD end of August -

 

I had one pretty recently. A really surprising amount of fruit flavor. A bit nonstandard, but I really enjoyed it (I think Adam and Lindsey did, too).

In other news: I tried a five-day-old Endeavor... I was not very impressed. I mean, it was good, but definitely nothing more than that. Maybe I've just veered too far off the deep end to appreciate something like this. If I had to choose between, say, Heavy Machinery 2x IPA and Endeavor, I would never ever choose Endeavor. Ever.

 

I heard from hopefully August timeframe for XXV and Fresh Squeezed IPA also...c'mon TABC!
