I'll pay an unhealthy amount if I ever see Surette Reserva on shelves...

Yup. I hear the most recent batch of Surette (the one with a batch number) was blended with a small amount of Reserva. I'm a huge CS fan. I highly doubt any of their beers will sit on shelves.

I've always thought this is a funny way to view the situation. It's not like any Californians are making some conscious, charitable act to send beer out of the state leaving us with nothing but our own self-satisfaction of doing good. Beer leaves California to either make money for a brewer or in some kind of quid pro quo format.

Batch 4. I think Batch 3 has a tulip glass on it (no batch number...and no Reserva blended in). A regular trade partner in CO told me about the change. I couldn't find any official information from Chad/Crooked Stave but there's a thread on RB about it.

I've been blown away with Crooked Stave as a first year reserve member. The Hibiscus and Cinnamon Petite Sour is world class along with the Surette Reserva in Peach barrels.

The sour RR tions fly off in days at $12.99+ and the CS stuff that I've had is right there with them and the fact many haven't tried them, will make them fly off shelves.

I have never been impressed by Stillwater and Nebraska has hefty price tags for their BA stuff given it's recognition and non mind blowing taste.

It will be nice to have it available and not have to come up with something more limited to trade with. Being that a lot of California goodness is well distributed. Cheers !

Their shelf beers aren't really that impressive I thought unless there gonna carry the $6-7 pricetag like CO.

Looks like Trappist Provisions has/had some. Any other places around?

Healthy Spirits is the only other that got some. Limit of one bottle each of the three available this far. They've got a good amount, so if call them if you want in. Clement in particular might be good for it. $9/bottle

Gourmet Haus (Redwood City) will have bottles available for their sour event (Thursday, Aug 1).

Makes sense. I had a Batch 4 in CO last week and was pleasantly surprised. The blank one I had at the next restaurant/bar was not as good (I assume it was a batch 3). Still good, just not as good.
