Forget IPAs, I just want to know where I can get the best rueben in SD. I know there are some connoisseurs in here.

If going to Alpine stop at Antonelli's. If you are in the college area, DZ Akin's is a must.
    Here's DZ's reuben.

    and for dessert, reuben crepes

I have a groupon for DZ Akin's, I was wondering if their rueben is any good. I will report back after I go

Deliciousness confirmed. Want to get in sweet with the staff and let them bring in my own Alpine and/or saisons in the future.

    Thanks for info on IPA's.

Will check it out and pickup some bottles.

I've heard so much about Pliny, just wanted to try it, since I've tried several others.

Yeah, bro. Shocking that in a thread about San Diego, there could be people that have been to and have good things to say about a bottle shop in, wait for it, San Diego.

    Mind blown, right?

Because this is the bottle shop with groupies. Mind blown indeed.

And if the product doesn't move, no worries. It'll just show up as an ISO:FT.

I just picked up a bottle of pliny bottled 7/16. I would be down with an IP trade. Never had Surly. i only have 1 bottle, darn 1 bottle limit, but if I come across fresher bottles or more bottles I can add to them. I live in Orange County north of SD so we would have to meet half way.

    Thanks for all the advice.

We hit up a lot of places in SD.

    Bub's - good wings
Stone - excellent BLT and beer. Had Blind Pig IPA - very good.
Pizza Port - had the Roma - excellent. Bartender said to check out Olive Tree for PTE (8/2 bottle date!!)- picked some up and tried it back at the hotel. World class!
