As the scene continues to grow here in Denver, what area NEEDS a new place the most? There are plenty of breweries in the works, but what part of the greater Denver area needs a local brewery now?

Southeast Aurora, near Southlands Mall and Aurora Reservoir. The closest breweries are 8 miles away (Dad & Dudes), 10 miles (Dry Dock) and 11 miles (Elk Mountain).

Even with Caution opening a new facility over there, Lakewood is one of the largest 'burbs and has almost nothing.
Littleton is also severely lacking. When one of the Hops locations left and the Old Mill are the closest options, you just keep driving. The Littleton people stay thankful for the Highland's Ranch CB & Potts of all places.

Can't say I'm complaining too much about Highlands Ranch. You can get good beer at Parry's.

Having lived in Littleton for a bit of time I would agree with Littleton needing a place. I heard Old Mill use to have good beer, but other than being priced generously the beer was lacking. Hops was just awful, crowded, and had the chain taste to it. Downtown Littleton could be a booming location for sure. Put a small 5 barrel system in the location to give the brewery feel and then possibly brew in another location like Dry Dock will be doing soon....

I've been told that the Old Town Tavern in Littleton is a a gem of a beer bar (now), but I was thinking about local breweries more than bars.
When I lived down there a while ago there was literally nothing at all except Hops and the Old Mill. We used to drive down to the Potts in Highlands Ranch pretty regularly for our beer fix. Funny enough, their head brewer was apparently Bill Eye back in those days. I don't think anyone knew what he would go on to do, I just recall their seasonal items all being terrific and never caring that it was a chain.
Looking at the setup Arvada has, I think downtown Littleton could be similar. The Old Town Arvada area is packed now. 6-7 years ago everyone went somewhere else. Littleton is becoming like that, too. It's no longer just boutique stores that people go into once a year. If someone moved in there and just made good/normal beers I think they could do really well.

There's also Jake's Brew Bar in downtown Littleton that isn't too bad.

I'm not sure if we need more breweries, just more great beer. I've been to 3 new breweries in the last five days and I was only able to find four decent beers out of the 16 I tried.

You don't want to know my batting average for very good beers....

Park Hill.... would do well with a family friendly place like a brewpub (think Vine Street), close enough to downtown & large target audience.

Although I think RiNo could use a brewpub like up towards Curtis Park (think 30th & Downing on light rail). A couple breweries, but not any great options to get food at as well (other than food trucks).

i've heard that the vacant church on kearney between 22nd and 23rd was purchased by someone wanting to convert it to a brewery, but have nothing concrete on that, just rumors. im the chef at a popular restaurant on that block and live just a few blocks away.

I live in Whittier and always thought the old M&D location would have been good for my own brewery, but alas it was bought and is now The Whittier Pub... close enough

How is the Whittier pub? Live not too far away and have heard some mixed reviews about that place.

I think it's average, but hey they have 5 Great Divide taps, 5 NB, 2 Tommyknocker taps so I'm happy. Could be better, but it will suffice for being 2 blocks away. I think the burgers are pretty great, as with all new places it takes a couple weeks to tweak the recipes. It's worth at least one visit I'd say, to see if it's for you. At 2 blocks away and considering I have a newborn, it's a godsend for getting out of the house. If you're up for a walk, Vine Street is still going to be the neighborhood go-to for craft.

Highlands ranch/ parker area could use a "great" brewery. We have a few decent ones such as lone tree, and elk.... But nothing to rave about. I would love to see one go in the meridian business area, just so I could walk to it.'i know...'selfish.'
