I haven't got that many IPA's or DIPA's since I was not a big fan of the style but now I'm starting to taste more of them. So far, this is my top 5 from the 22 beers that I have had of this style:

    2. Dogfish 90 Minute Imperial IPA
    3. Stone Ruination IPA
    4. Bear Republic Hop Rod Rye Ale
    5. Port Brewing Wipeout IPA

First post. Thought this would be a good thread to start.

    IPAs:
    Zombie Dust
Alpha King (I know these aren't classified IPAs but 60+ I.B.U.s and over 6% abv puts them there in my book)
    Anit-Hero
    Stone IPA
    Union Jack

    IIPAs:
    Permanent Funeral
    Hopslam
    Thumbprint IIPA
    Arctic Panzer

I wanted to put Racer 5 in there as that's probably my all-time go-to IPA, but the others edged it out if I'm going on pure taste. And of course I have heart for Sculpin too.

Why 5? There's only one beer that should be mentioned here... Triple hops brewed Miller Lite! No further discussion needed.

Hrm I think I'm biased living in Vermont or something...

    Lawson's Double Sunshine IPA
    Alchemist Heady Topper
    Lawson's Chinooker'd IPA
    Hill Farmstead Ephraim
    Hill Farmstead Abner

Honorable mention: Russian River's Pliny The Elder

Now there are very thin margins of ratings here, anything over a 4.5 to me is always a great brew to drink and is amazing, so along those lines I have a lot more brews from a variety of different places that I enjoy and would 100% recommend to others.

Just curious as to why you needed to specify on the container. I freakin love cans, and I'll pour them or just drink straight from them. Is it just your personal preference because those cans are awesome or have you perceived that the taste or aroma is better?

Definitely a really really good DIPA....I got a bunch of Ninkasi stuff through "Let's Pour" because its not available in OH...I had heard really good things and wanted to try their stuff....A quality brewery!

Taste and aroma is better. I'm from SD, so I've had the opportunity to have Sculpin every possible way: 12oz bottle, bomber, can, tap, nitro tap, habanero sculpin, fresh, not fresh etc. I believe Sculpin in a can tops them all. I have about 4 friends that agree. The fruit flavors are so present in the can...you can those in fresh bottles or a good clean tap, but it's more pronounced in cans.

I wouldn't disagree with you either way because perception is everything when it comes to beer. I wish we got the cans out here. Sculpin is amazing
