I actually had these in Mexico City 2 weeks ago. The IPA was surprisingly good...for a Mexican beer.

There were a couple of other craft mexican beer that I hope does make it's way up here that was solid.

Is this the first beer that we will see from a brewpub being sold outside of the brewpub (with the exception of places like H&G and JK that switched to a brewpub due to changes in the law).

I had this on tap at Craft Pride a few months ago.

No. I saw on twitter the other day that Blue Star in San Antonio put a beer on tap at Minnie's Tavern.

That brings up a question then - I assume these brewpubs have to go through TABC label approval to sell off site just like a brewery does?

I'll keep a look out for the cans around here, then. mattisloco, thanks for the offer. I may take you up on it if I can't find it.

It is the same place. It was originally named Gulf Coast Brewing but he couldnt register it with that name due to a similar name in Houston. And he cant change the name of his fb page. I am actually going to be setting up some bank branches in Beaumont in 2 weeks. I've talked to the guy a couple of times. I am going to try to go by there.

I don't think anything good has ever come out of Beaumont, including myself.

Whoa. I completely missed this one. D&Q posted that they got in De Proef/Cigar City Tropical Tripel Brewmasters Collaboration!

I wanna say that this is the first legal Cigar City beer to ever hit Texas, lol. Bless you De Proef for being kind to Texans. Now it needs to make it over to ATX.

He was most likely just drinking it. When he posts that late and shows a glass of it, it's something he's drinking, not something he's selling.

I had read that the word Cigar was a no-no for TABC.

Just on bottles? Because Candela Rye was released in kegs here. Man I swear we've had other cigar city collabs come here too.
