Tasting Groups in Greenville, SC?

    Ok, I think it's about time to revive this thread....

    I've been waiting for some work on my house to be completed and it is now done, so I can host the bottle share if need be; however, my house is fairly small (approx. 1,100 sq. ft.) and I only have room for about 7 plus myself.

    So I need a show of hands of who would attend so I'll know if my house will cut it or if we need to look for a larger venue. I was thinking either of the following two dates/times

    Saturday, July 27th, around 6pm
    Saturday, August 3rd, around 6pm

    Let me which of those two dates you would want to attend and once we get a head count, we can decide if my house is too small or not.

    Ok, so that's 1 down for the 27th and I can do either.

    I can do either...! Ive been talking to the owner of Whats on Tap and he is open to hosting a bottle sharing...but I would definitely prefer a home venue. :slight_smile:

    It looks like the 27th is the best time for it then.

    So far we have 6 that could attend. I'll give it a few more days to see if anyone else is interested. Once we get a final head count, we can determine if my house is too small or if we should choose somewhere else (What's on Tap would be a nice location for it if we can't find a private residence).

    Welcome to SC Drew!

    Looks like right now we're planning on having this thing on Saturday, July 27th around 6pm. You make the 7th person that would be able to come if you can make it that day.

    The venue has yet to be decided. It'll either be my house or possibly What's on Tap if there's too many people to fit in my house.

    SIDE NOTE: This thread was brought to my attention yesterday, We have a group of Beeradvocates here in Greenville that has a tasting at least once a month for the past 3 years(we try to meet every 2 weeks). We would love to expand this group however we meet on Sundays. John Holms & J Moore, ask me more about this next time you're in GBX. Anyone else that would like to join shoot me a beer mail, more people= more better!

    ALSO I hope your tasting Saturday is AWESOME!

    I live in the Clemson area and would be very interested in joining you folks for bottle share and/or bottle trade.
