I realize a Bohemian Pilsner is fairly straightforward...Bohemian Pils Malt, Saaz hops, and WLP-800, 802, etc. or any of the Wyeast strains (4)...with a huge starter...anything I'm missing (besides a decoction mash) ?

At this point I'm leaning towards Brewing Classic Styles pg 60-62

Do you also use the floor-malted Bohemian pils malt? What kind of extraction/efficiency (%) do you typically get?

No. I have been meaning to try it, but I have always used regular Weyermann German Pilsner malt. Mash efficiency is in the low 70's.

Make sure the water is low in sulfates,I use RO. Get the Ca up to maybe 40 ppm using CaCl2. I have used the for malted Pils and like it. Will do a triple decoction next time, because.

Ill update. My grist aint like vike man does. Close but not exact. My hopping will be though and using wyeast Czech pils. Ill report back. No decoction because I'm lazy and keepin it simple. I want a good pils to drink early fall when I have family over to see my babies.

Hoping for the best. Big big starters is all I have to say.

I have made the BCS Bo-Pils a couple of times and I've tasted it made by other brewers.

    It is awesome.

There is a gentelman on the AHA site that did an experiment with Bo Pils. One recipe all pils malt with triple decoction, and one with I believe 4 oz of melinoiden with single infusion. He then sent bottles to quite a few Knowledgeable home brewers to evaluate. The results were mixed on wich one was better and wich one the people thought was decocted. I also do not decoct.
