just picked up a paradisiac and a date sugar yeast magik. probably gonna crack the paradisiac tonight

Just picked up both @ orland binnys. Definitely trying both tonight.

 

just finished a paradisiac to the dome. tasty beer! if you're expecting a strawberry or kiwi bomb you will be disappointed. however, it is a very nice fruity and spicy witbier with a bit of each advertised fruit. well done vav and pipeworks!

 

we like the tartness... we think it's quite tart for a non-soured beer and we think that's an accomplishment. also for something near 8% we think it's super crushable.

 

has paradisiac made it out to any of the N burb stores yet? very excited to try it

 

yeah, I made the mistake of having a melange no3 b4 paradisiac. Def going to have to buy another bottle to make a more informed decision. Super drinkable @ 8%, I didn't get any kiwis or strawberries however, I'm sure my palate being effed up didnt help.

 

Anyone know of any bars in the city that currently have Pipeworks on draft?

 

rats, just hit up bolingbrook binnys- no paradisiac, but grabbed a couple coffee breaks for my troubles! (which by the way I thought was tasting real darn good at naperville ale fest. less hoppy batch?)

 

STC Binnys has Paradisiac. I guess that would be the west burbs

 

as far as I know the only suburban binnys that have/had paradisiac are orland, willowbrook, downers grove, and buffalo grove. I know for sure plainfield, naperville, bolingbrook havent gotten any yet. any others I have no clue about.

 

If I don't find a bottle soon I'm going to go into paradisiac arrest.

If you stop by evanston make sure to stop by D&D finer foods on Noyes street. They've got some hidden gems from pipeworks and with students not around right now its not moving super fast.

I don't think you have to worry about getting a bottle of any batch anymore. With the new brew house it seems like there is plenty of Pipeworks to go around.

 

It seems like a lot of Binny's were getting A case of some of the more specialty brews, but now are getting multiple cases. Vav has stacks of PW beers!

 

i just opened a date sugar yeast magik, and it was dead flat. has anyone else opened one, and if so, was it carbed?

edit: for the pipeworks guys, i just vacu-vinned the rest of the bottle if you want to have what's remaining back for observation or something.

 

Quick question: Does Abduction and Coffee Abduction normally stay on shelves? Bro in law will be in Chicago and was wondering the availability of these?
