Lawson's Next Farmers Market

I just have to say that Vermont Spruce Tip IPA is amazing (if you like spruce!).

 

How long are the lines typically at these slash how quickly do they sell out? I'd love to make the trip but its quite a haul to leave empty handed

 

From what I've heard lines can be long but they operate on a ticket system similar to a deli counter. They start giving out tickets at 8 or 9, someone will have the definite answer. This is a nice lineup but you should be able to grab a good number of beers.

 

Showed up at the last one at 8:30.. market opened at 9, I was number 47 or 48. Granted, this was the first one of the summer, but I'd say get there 30 minutes before and you'll get whatever you want by 9:30-9:45. Cash only.

 

Same day as HF Fest, though. I imagine it's pretty crazy with folks trying to make it to both.

 

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. All of those bottles will be nice additions to the post-fest bottle share though.

 

Was thinking about trying to make both, but that might be pushing it with the wife, who earlier said that she was excited for FOFA because I was excited. But then added, "Will there be anybody there not totally geeking out?" So, yes, I had just spent a few minutes trying to explain to her the difference between spontaneous fermentation in a coolship and a sour mash. So yeah, I should probably just plan on FOFA and call myself a lucky man.

 

Shoot. Was hoping to meet you there. I'm heading up that Thursday/Friday.

 

Actually, just tested the waters...looks like a quick farmers market stop en route to FoFA is going to be a possibility. She's sipping a Saint Adairus brew sent by a west coast buddy, and I mentioned that a beer that he loves will be at the farmers' market. She was like, "This is so good...we have to go try to get him a really good beer in return, right?"

Beer wife gonna wife...

 

Yeah, I am planning on going to the farmers market before heading up for the FoFA as well. Last year I held off getting a bottle of Maple Tripple. This year I shall not be so foolish.

 

So when is she going to tell you what her BA handle is?

 

Just wanted to check, do you know if Maple Tripple will be sold at the next Farmer's Market? Sometime early September maybe? Just wondering if this is the last chance for MT this year. Cheers!

 

Lawson's blog says it will be for sale at the markets on 9/21 & 10/12 as well.

Does anyone know what the expected cost of a bottle of Maple Tripple is?

 

I'm pretty sure I heard its around $25/bottle.

 

I'm pretty sure she was trolling the pacific form playing the part of that attorney who wouldn't go to pizza port in the ridiculous el cajon thread..she doesn't know the first thing about bankruptcy law!

 

I think I paid $30 last year.
