I served Old Style as my "light" beer. Not technically a light beer, but served the purpose and its something I actually like, though I drank 2 hearted the whole night

I think I will probably go with Sam Adams Light further thinking about it. I don't actually mind drinking it and thats fine if there is any left over. Now to decide the IPA/Pale and the Wheat.

Serving Pumpking, Flower Power, Brooklyn Lager and Dundee Honey Brown Lager for my wedding in September.

If somebody doesn't like it then don't drink the free booze.

Wow...now that is awesome. I got married in October of 2009 (outside of Boston). I tried so hard to get my wife and her mom to have a great beer line up but all I heard was "Brian people are not coming here to drink craft beer they are coming to enjoy our day". Complete bullshit. All night I was asked "Bri, where is the good beer"? I replied "In my room...here is the key"

Went to a wedding a few weeks back where they purchased thier own beer, they seeemed to have bought a Sam Adams sampler of some kind. This seemed to work for most people there, so perhaps some kind of variety pack.

Pretty funny. 2 separate points I was making. I still think offering up Two Hearted to bud light drinkers is pretty funny though. But wasn't saying you were pushing your agenda, just that I think weddings are a place to keep in mind what those you invite want and not just your own opinions. Sorry for the confusion.

I hate seeing "light" on a beer label. It's like saying, "Here's some brewed water, since you don't really like beer."

I'd serve Bell's Oberon. It's light enough and they can find more if they like it.

I don't know if its been said or not but Narragansett lager would probably do the trick.

Yards Pale Ale is a pretty awesome beer for 4.3%. Bitter American by 21st Amendment is pretty good too, though not year round.

Both have excellent hop flavor considering how low the IBU is because of how light the malt bill is.

I wish I could get Yards or 21st Amendment. Yes, I am definitely looking for something not hoppy. Unfortunately I know many of my guests have a different choice in beer tastes.

I don't think my three cans of heady topper would get that far...

I would assume so? I don't know, all I know is that the cans that have come to mn in trades that I have gotten to try are so GOOD!

This- my brother had a keg of Oberon at his wedding and it went over great. Non craft drinkers liked it as it wasn't overpowering, and craft drinkers enjoyed it also. Another key is it's low enough alcohol to not get people completely ripped. A wedding isn't the best place to convert people to beer, they want to drink something they like and enjoy the evening. My suggestion would be to see if the place you're getting married will let you bring in a couple bottles for yourself/wedding party and then you can enjoy something special if you so choose.
