I need to start mxing more, I have on mixed a Maxiums IPA and Sucks together and it was really good. I think a Youngs double Chocolate and Founder RIS will work for my next one.

 

DOS COCOAS! I don't know why, but that name makes me feel obligated to always say it in an excitable way.

 

Re-review night on Friday as normal, in a Belgian mood perhaps:

This was excellent. All around great balance and complexity of the toffee/smoke malts with oak, vanilla, maple syrup, and juniper berries with moderate Belgian yeast earthiness. Really delicious, and super smooth for 11%.


Seriously an awesome Tripel. I really liked the old bottle I reviewed last year, but being fresh this is even better. Very crisp and big fruity/spicy yeast with banana/bubblegum, and light-moderate honey/candi sugar. So damn good. This is how I like my Tripels to taste right here.


Had a flat 2007 Bottle on the last review, this is much better. Absolutely beautiful complexity and balance. Big toffee/dark malts with fruitiness and so much flavor depth. Fucking insane.

Yeah it's a nice one. It's the one they give out at the festivals.

 

So far I've finished a FW Union Jack IPA, Schlafly Sixth Glass and now nightcapping with a Deschutes Black Butte Porter. Really great example of that type in my opinion.

 

A surprisingly tasty, unique take on the barleywine style from Almanac. Apparently they can brew more than just good sours. Who knew?

 

My first full pint of Heady. Fuck. Just...fuck.

 

Both are great but Cow > than 10 but still cheers to you and yours.

 

Two Hearted Ale. Read on another thread that this beer was considered by some as a "legendary letdown".

I may be an Alaskan Homer, but I really like this beer and it keeps getting better (IMHO)
