I just cracked a 2011 bottle of it, currently sipping. A couple weeks ago, I had a 2013 bottle, and it was just okay. But this one aged exquisitely, my damn is it good! Have any of y'all had it, and if so, what did you guys think?! :grinning:

I had some and really didn't like it, but I've not had a lot of imperial stouts, so maybe it was just a shock to the system.

The oldest I've had was a year old, and I thought it was amazing. I can't imagine it not getting better and better with some more time.

"Little" compared to the standard 12 oz. US bottle and the 11.2 oz (330 ml) or 16.9 oz. (500 ml.) UK bottles, perhaps, but at 275 ml. it's actually "Big" compared to the classic 170 ml. "split" bottles from Courage's last few vintages.

    The 70s I had weren't too shabby.

I've got five bottles of the 2011 and 2012 put away. Very much looking forward to trying them in a few years. The 2011 was great last year.

Does anyone know if the latest incarnation has a different recipe than the older ones?

I did not like it fresh, had a year old bottle and liked it a little. I'd love to try a three year old example.
