Northern Monk New World IPA, new, good, but it tastes like so many other IPA's that you could be forgiven for mistaking it for half a dozen others

    Fosters Radler
    Duchy Golden something or other
    Arbor Colab 1B

The Arbor brew shows hints of greatness but it's a bit of a mess.....

I had beer with grains of paradise but not hints of greatness, sounds like a new shade on the Dulux Colour Wheel

Hehe..I found a store online that is selling Harvey Elizabethan Ale. I'm getting 6 bottles.
Man, I wish I could get some of the good fresh stuff you blokes are drinking but I guess I'll have to settle for the old stuff until when/if things change.

I had some Worthington's White Shield. A good way to start the weekend.

A bit of a simplistic pairing, but that beer is outrageously good with cheese on toast.

Cool article for anyone wanting to take their home brewing a bit further

Picked up my Double Dark Alliance, along with a can of Torpedo to lounge about in the sun with, Hoptimum, Weird Beard Fade to Black, Arbor Monsoon Saison, Kernel Pale Ale Amarillo Simcoe Mosaic (i think) and a Hitachino Nest Beer to try. Made the 6 mile round trip almost worth it.

I will do, but if this heat keeps up I'll probably not want to drink it before I head off on Monday. Unless you reckon it'll be better fresh?

It will certainly be more coffee-forward fresh, and currently has a noticeable hop pungency that time will fade, but there's no doubt that it will still be a world class beer in a few months or even much longer than that.

Did you only get the one bottle?

Yes, it was £6.49 in my local, and at the time I wanted something more refreshing for later. There was one left in the shop though, might open mine tonight and go and see if its still there tomorrow if its as decent as you've said.

Bear in mind that I love coffee stouts. If you're not as mad about the ol' Arabica bean then your opinion may vary.

And I certainly understand your reason for not wanting to open it tonight.

Don't think I've ever had a coffee centred imperial before, but I really loved Cromarty Brewed Awakening and Summer Wine Barista.

Hot tip of the day, fill an ipa bottle you just finished witg water to drink from. Tastes like volvic touch of fruit with hops as the fruit instead of strawberrys!
