    How do you know when it's fresh? I looked all over a 6 pack recently and couldn't find any dates.

    Date should be on the bottle. I think they've been dated since 2x has come out. Been drinkin alot of Live this summer, looking forward to Harvest.

    no bottled on date when it came out.

    actually had quite a bit of buzz around it at the time. lots of love in LNBA threads ("what are you drinking right now?" threads; 'late night beer advocate'). heard about it less as more west coast style IPAs got produced or shipped here in a timely enough fashion for us to drink them fresh. still an awesome value though. 2x stout is really good too.
