Don't expect any rare beers in Washington, it is known.

You should stop by Chuck's Hop Shop on Friday after you hit Naked City. We have 38 taps, 1,200 bottles, growlers to go and an awesome cajun food truck from 3:00pm-9:00pm. Definitely worth a stop for a beer. Also consider hitting up Full Throttle Bottles when you're in Georgetown.

An update on the Monday bottle share. A couple of us have been trying for months to coordinate to open the Stone Vertical Epic series from 03-12. Through a minor miracle, this Monday we are all available. So, we're gonna bring the bottles (multiples of some of them). If by a major miracle someone has an 02... you know what to do...

I've never been less disappointed with a brewpub in my life as I was with Big Time. I'd avoid it at all costs.

Man, are you guys spoiled. Granted, Big Time is no Stone or even a Hale's or Elysian, but you truly don't know what bad and/or disappointing is, untill you've had the pleasure of visiting this place (which thankfully, is now closed). :-)

John, was that the one downtown, or the one out in the old barn? I remember one made lagers, the other made ales, and they DID NOT like each other. I hit each a few times, circa 96-99, and while never blown away, I thought both were decent enough. I would easily take Big Time over Hale's, and I think it beats Elysian by a step as well.

Wow. Big Time is one of my favorite Seattle breweries, and I've never been anywhere near disappointed in the beers or service. I've only eaten there once, and while the sandwich was good, I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Okay. You guys got me on the typo. But seriously, we either have different quality standards or I just went on a really bad day. We had four beers and could barely distinguish between them because the tap lines pretty obviously hadn't been touched in months. Service was poor, atmosphere didnt exist, zero character. What the hell am I missing???

No it was a typo. I meant never more disappointed. The place totally sucked.

It was the one over in the old barn. Place was flat out awful, as I guess you can tell from the reviews.

As for Big Time, it's not my favorite brewpub, but I wouldn't call it awful. In fairness, I think Hales and the different Elysian pubs I've been to, have actually been pretty good. In my experience, really bad places don't stick around very long in Seattle (something goes in to take their place), and as all these places have been around for a while, it's hard for me to call any them really bad.

Had a great time in Seattle! Favorite bar was Uber Tavern. Favorite Brewery/Brewpub was Naked City. Favorite Bottleshop was Bottleworks. Got some bottles to send home and a couple of growlers (Hop Venom and La Folie) that we already drank.

On the Bolt Bus heading towards Portland as I type this. Planning on hitting Upright, HotD, and Deschutes Public House tonight. Cascade, Bailey's Taproom, Apex, and Beer Mongers (obviously for the bottleshare) tomorrow. BM me if you want to meet up with us.

Yep, planning on being there from 4-6pm. :-) Just have to get my HotD fix in first (plus we are staying right across the river from HotD and they aren't open tomorrow.)

So, somebody left a bag with a bag and a polo shirt inside of it, at beermongers tonight. I left it in the lost and found, there. also, what looks like a iPhone pouch. I think it's genuine leather.
