Pumpkin Releases in the DMV

    Trying to get my hands on a pumpkin brew (ideally, Schlafly!) by tomorrow evening (I know, I know, it's way early in the season), and was wondering if anyone has come across anything in the DMV. I live in southwest, but would go as far as Springfield south and Gaithersburg north for something decent. Any tips would be appreciated!

    Also, I'm having some special company (for said pumpkin beer), and don't know what (snack) to pair it with.. thinking baked brie in puffed pastry - good? If anyone has another idea, please share!

    Doesn't Southern Tier distribute to DC? Their Pumking is my favoire pumpkin beer by far

    I don't think Schlafly has been released yet. Probably another week or two. ST Pumking is available all over the DMV...Rodman's, Fenwick, or Norm's (probably TW any day now).

    I was at Norm's last night, and they had Pumking, and said they were getting 60 cases of Schlafly in this week, probably Thursday.

    I saw 6-packs of Schlafly's pumpkin ale at the P Street Whole Foods on Saturday night. They were in the produce department.

    Give them a call to make sure?

    Norm's got 60 cases! of pumpking in yesterday per an e-mail at 7.50/bottle. Whole foods clarendon has them at 6.99. I picked one up on Friday.

    Lol, guess I should have mentioned that I don't like Pumking :rolling_eyes:

    Thanks for the tip on P Street Whole Foods! Will give them a ring before heading over.

    They also have the Brooklyn Post Road, the Schlafly sixers are near the veggies last I saw... Yup the pumpkin and Oktoberfest brews have invaded.... early...

    Yeah, found it at WF. Thought of you because I was chattin it up with your guy, Randy. He's definitely a beer geek! Was saying he gets so many samples, that he's having a hard time drinking all that he has. I was thinking we should invite him to our next bottle-share! :wink:
