    Heyo,

Was curious if anyone had seen any of them on the shelves lately? I spaced picking any up when they first hit the shelves. Heard great things.

    Cheers

Ben, good luck getting to a store before someone else does if it's posted here. I hope you have a jetpack.

My understanding is that Prairie's not a supply issue like Cantillon & Pliny though... but I'm with you

Although not as scarce as the first and as allocated as the second, there is no supply to be ordered by the beer managers save for the first drop. Hopefully that will change in the near future.

I saw some Prairie offerings at Lukas Liquors a few months back. Not sure if they still have them, but it's worth a call.

I was talking with a local retailer about six weeks ago and he said the distributor somehow failed to send the May-June pre-order in (distributor's name rhymes with "defeat" but they have a relationship w/ & carry either a lot of or all of the Shelton Bros-connected beers in this state) so the earliest would be late July-early August. So it's not like they pulled out of the market or anything, just a human error/glitch, per this guy.

On the other hand because of their exploding popularity he had fears for what was gonna happen next.

I am not representing that this is accurate, just what I heard. But if we don't see any in the next few weeks I'd be concerned. Fuck I'm already concerned.

Let me clarify this because the above mentioned is slightly off. I am pretty sure we are talking about the same retailer. I spoke with them as well because they previously posted in another thread about Prairie. There was a retailer whose rep lost their pre-order for the first time ever in years. They did not get their Shelton order inputted back in mid-march that shipped throughout the state at the of April through beginning of May. This was an isolated honest mistake. Trust me an entire pre-order for Colorado was not failed to be sent in. This happened to be the first time Prairie was on offer from Shelton pre-orders. About 9 retailers in Colorado ordered and received Prairie via the pre-order, not including the St. Somewhere Collob. Another Shelton pre-order was offered to the state a few weeks ago. Prairie has no beer available and was not on offer and is still not on offer... http://www.sheltonbrothers.com/trade. Prairie looks to be interested, hopefully so, to enter Colorado full time on their own. They posted referencing the sort in the ballast point thread saying "Keep in mind that Prairie is basically a one person company. Shelton Brothers allows us to be in several markets without having to manage or register in each one. We are working to change things as far as beer coming to CO." I believe I heard something about Prairie building a new brewery via a kickstarter campaign. Hopefully they can get some more beer made and get some over to Colorado soon. They make some great beers for sure.

Thanks for this correction and I apologize for MY error--it's been awhile but now that I read this, that is exactly what the retailer in question told me, and the passage of time led ME--not them-- to be inaccurate. I didn't want there to be any residual implication that an unhappy retailer was spreading erroneous information; the error was 100% MINE. Sorry again.
