Plus, Hunahpu is made for and sold on 1 specific day, which is announced far in advance and sold at 1 location.

Even if Zhukov had say 10,000 bottles, it's spread across many cities at different times. It's not just one pile of 10,000 bottles everyone can line up for and buy.

 

It's a great beer, and hard to find for a lot of people. Makes sense to me.
Hell, even Jai Alai is a challenge to find these days for me...I've given up on TW ever restocking it.
Luckily a few local Crowns have had a wayward sixer once in a while...but damn I really miss being able to get Jai Alai every TW trip.

 

Tw Naples got 11 cases today, no limit. Well, I guess now they only have 10 cases

 

ABC off Kennedy got 2 cases today. As of 4pm less than 6 bottles were on the shelf. Perhaps more was in storage.

 

I just got lucky enough to land 2 of these bad boys. Looking like that might be the only 2 for the year

 

So does this make Zhukov more rare than Hunahpu? I need to know so I can win the ISO FT. Does anyone know how to get the treatments out of Hunahpu? Im going to try and pour my Hunahpu through my Brita. ISO 2013 MZ labels.

TW in Tampa sadly employs misinformed people, a girl there told me last week they would not be receiving any Zhukov period, and then I get an email overnight from TW saying its back in stock, only to show up at 9 to be told it was gone two days ago. Then went for breakfast at Whole Foods, found one stray Zhukov hiding on a counter near their bar, and since it was no longer in the system they sold it to me for five bucks. *Win*

 

Any reports on Clearwater TW?

 

Nice, TW can be a pain. I called in yesterday morning and inquired about the MZ's and the customer service employee told me they had about a case left. So I asked if they would hold some for me, to which they replied that I could purchase them online and just pick them up later. So I logged into their site while still on the phone with them and their site showed they had none in stock. The gal on the phone was great and said she'd just hold a few for me. She was taking my name and contact info when suddenly another TW employee got on the phone and informed me that "TW doesnt hold items for customers and that if I wanted them I should come in now". At which point the individual hung up on me. Must be part of TW's commitment to customer service excellence. It was at this point that I decided to spend my money at ABC instead...

 

There definitely seems to be a lot confusion on the retailer end regarding this release. I made a big loop through the city on my way too/from CCB yesterday, hitting up several ABCs along the way and got mixed messages from all of them. The ABC on Fletcher had 1 case and a 1 bottle per customer limit. The ABC on Kennedy told me they hadn't ordered and weren't expecting any when I was there around 11 am yesterday, and then we see the tweet they sent out yesterday that Gunhaver posted up here. The beer guy at the ABC in Carrollwood said that he was told it was a brewery only release and that JJ wasn't getting any for a while. And then I lucked out on my way home, I stopped by the ABC in Wesley Chapel as the JJ truck was making a delivery that include 2 cases, they sold me 3 bottles. Who knows though, since the WC store is the only one who really knows me, perhaps the other stores were just giving me a line of BS and were only selling to their regulars.

 

Yeah it really depends who you get on the phone.
The TW up in WPB is pretty friendly actually. I went last year to get zhukov and the lady held it all day for me since I was stuck at work. But the one in Boca won't do that at all lol.
I'm just glad I know a few other good bottle shops, they might charge a bit more, but at least can rely on them.

I'm glad I'm not the only one.... Here's the most I've had at 26, more than half of which are gone now after a friend's Bachelor Party this weekend...

 

Well that accounts for 3 1/2 of the 80 cases sold at the brewery. Any other ballers wanna chime in?

TBH I'm happy I just got one as it is.
