Hey everyone, I am on Southfield for work and I am looking for a place to eat tonight. I am looking for a place that has craft beer, but places a high emphasis on the food they serve too. We have been to a few breweries where the food has been ok with good beer. I am aware of Kuhnhenn and Dragonmead, but how is their food? We have been to Vinsettas Garage, and it was a perfect mix of what I'm looking for. Any other options would be great!

Hit up Griffin Claw Brewery in Birmingham..Opened maybe a month ago..Great beers (berliner weiss) good food...A little on the high side as far as price goes, but worth it..

Being in Southfield, there is a brewery there called Copper Canyon..Never been (dont know why) but might be worth a try..

Copper Canyon isn't really worth it anymore, unless you like your beer to lack character, pay for overpriced food, and have the smell from the walled-off cigar lounge permeate your experience. Really, their beer may still be good, but the last few times I had been there, I couldn't really tell, as my senses had been bludgeoned by cigar smoke.

If you already went to Vinsettas, One Eyed Bettys is close by.

This. Awesome food, and a generally good/great taplist.

Also, Copper Canyon is hot garbage. They hired a new brewer recently, I talked to him. He seemed very preoccupied with shitting on Bell's for some reason, talking about how bad all their beer was. It was weird.

DO NOT GO TO COPPER CANYON!!!
best bet for close distance is bettys or griffin claw.
If you want to drive a little extra check out the clarkston union.

Pizzeria Biga is also a pretty good option. I stop buy there usually when I'm in town for work. They don't have a huge beer selection but its a nice 6-8 taps usually some good Bell's stuff and I enjoy their pizza a lot.

If you're on an expense account, hit up Luciano's main restaurant other than Biga which is Baco. It's on Northwestern Highway, about a mile west of Telegraph.

If you want the best Chicken Greek Salad you'll ever have, go to this place on Lahser and Northwestern Highway in the plaza called I think Soluvskis.. We just call it the greek place, the chicken is amazing.

Dragonmead doesn't have a food menu, but you can bring whatever you please...and they have free pretzels. Kuhnhenn has some apps like a cheese platter, some stuffed pretzels and free popcorn...nothing to go crazy about.

I second Pizzeria Biga for their food being better than One Eyed and their beer selection is Nice... Plus, it is right in Southfield (Also one in Royal Oak). Chef/Owner, Luciano Del Signore, also owns award winning Bacco Ristorante in Southfield.. Much different atmosphere (Upscale) than Biga (Casual)..
