Here are some of my favorite lines in the reviews:

You can try this or not, they're your tastebuds.

This tastes like someone took the syrup from a huge can of fruit cocktail with bananas and fermented it with Brett.

Would not buy again. I powered through this bottle.

T: Starts with a settle clean taste, but then the horror comes. Dry rotten fruit taste comes in and just ruins everything.

MF: I wish it would go away faster.

Is finishing this something I can do?

    Avoid at all costs.

    To enjoy wear nose plugs.

it's like candy, with a fart with some beer and a light folding of the three.

    Why? Why is this real?

    Taste: um… pretty gross; it’s like a fruit juice adjunct beer;

Wow. Look at all the easily-led automatons here. "Well, I sure am glad I didn't try this for myself to formulate an opinion on because a number of strangers said they didn't like it." Sheesh, people. You're what's keeping McDonald's running, Walmart proliferating and crap like Honey Boo-boo and the whole Kardashian clan on TV. Weak-willed apathy. How about this... try the beer, write an informed review, experience something new; good or bad. You all can't be so insular and easily-swayed especially when it comes to craft beer. Right now, you're perpetuating negative publicity without even knowing what it tastes like.

That was my attitude once upon a time, when there were only a few American Craft beers available.

I don't consider myself an automoton to not try a beer so many folks identify as having flavors I would undoubtedly not like, when there are so many other beers to be enjoyed. There is barely enough time in life to enjoy today's incredible selection as it is.

I don't think it is robotic to want to drink the best of those, and so far, using common sense in reading reviews, I am pretty happy at what I've tried. Notable exception recently is Zinneke. Feel free to not be an automoton and try this, it's by Smuttynose, or Pluot. Cheers!

It's odd that their trippel is great for the price point, yet they seem to have made a not so appealing tripel, at what I'm sure is a much higher price point. I guess everyone messes up once in a while.

Wish I'd never seen it on the shelf to be sure, that's money I could've spent on drinkable beer

I didn't particularly like it, but thought it was an interesting high gravity fruit beer that was easy summer drinking. Didn't bother to write a review though.

Easy there Francis! But I'm sorry when somebody uses the word "fart" to describe the taste of a beer, I'm not going to want to try it and won't give a damn about formulating my own opinion. I'll let other peoples mistakes help guide me to a beer that I do enjoy

Oh, I have absolutely zero problem with how people describe a beer. I'm commenting on the piles of supposed beer advocates who read others' reviews and follow their advice without even trying the beer. It's like that episode of Seinfeld where George's mom follows the advice of Jerry's girlfriend only because she thought she was Chinese. Hell, where I live everyone seems to think Shipyard Pumpkin is amazing. I think it tastes like already been chewed Big Red gum. I certainly don't want everyone to quit buying it from my bar because I don't like the taste. That's all I'm saying... people need to come to their own conclusions.

This beer has been available for growlers nearby for weeks now (same keg). It's still around even after a significant price drop to $7.99 a couple weeks ago. Looks like I'm not missing much by getting Psuedo Sue instead.

It's terrible. Half of that series is terrible as well.

Beer isn't cheap, and some people don't have the urge to risk their money on a badly reviewed beer.
Of course it's all relative, but there's a decent chance you will fall in line with the majority of views, or relatively close to it.

But I'm with ya man, I like the adventure of not knowing what I'm getting into, but I understand why others don't follow this route.

Personally, I thought this beer tasted pretty bad. Still better than Samichlaus though haha.

I never read reviews before buying a beer. I try every new thing that comes on tap in my town, and a lot of new bottles/cans too. One of the few times I look at reviews after having the beer is to find a descriptor that fits better than what I came up with. My giving a given beer a given score is based solely on my experience with that beer, at that time. I'm not even a little sorry to burst your bubble.

It was good overall but the more I drank the more I noticed the fruit juice and could have done without that.

Here you cavedave, beertunes ends with this:

The body was way stickier and heavier than is desirable in a Tripel. Drinkability was OKish, but with the complete lack of personality, why bother? Overall, a nice try at something out of the box by NB, but it was a fail. You can try this or not, they're your tastebuds.

I like this one... "You can try this or nor, they're your tasebuds." Not scathing, but poignant.
