Morristown, NJ advice.

    As far as breweries go, Morristown is not far from High Point/Ramstein in Butler.

    I'm heading to the Morristown area this weekend. I usually stop at the Liquor Outlet in Boonton. Whats the deal with Captain Lawrence, are they distributing in NJ again? I'm not gonna be able to stop at the CL brewery on the way down this time. And is Great Lakes still only southern NJ? The Liquor Outlet website says they stock it. Thanks

    Captain Lawrence & Great Lakes are both distributed throughout NJ these days. Never been to Liquor Outlet, but Wine Library in Springfield (a 10-15 minute drive from Morristown) carries pretty much the whole line-up from both breweries.

    That would be a recent change - their FAQ still says "Northern Jersey", via Peerless Beverage - which usually covers "Union, Hudson, Morris, Essex, Bergen, Passaic and Sussex counties". They had been statewide before they left the state a few years back, distributed by Hunterdon.

    I stand corrected. I haven't spent much time in South Jersey. Come to think of it...I guess I haven't really seen them in Central Jersey either. Thanks, JK.

    P.S. Seek-A-Brew should update CL's distribution in NJ to "limited". Just saying.
