Yeah, keep posting as you go, so we can follow what you're doing!

Lots of stuff on your list already, but I'd add Adelbert's brewery, which is in the north part of town and open tomorrow afternoon. Adelbert's, Pinthouse Pizza, Draughthouse, and Black Star Coop are all relatively close together. Also, Sunrise Minimart on 45th. A must if you're beer shopping.

Full flight of beers and a growler at pizza pinthouse.... The food was great. Beers were mediocre

512 is full so I'll be making the trek over to Adelberts tomorrow as an alternative

The normal beers are good, nothing to rave about. You need to try the newest fallen cask, #79, really good APA. Worth a quick re-stop-in I think.

Sunrise minimart is on Anderson off burnet (not 45th). And if I had to recommend either Adelbert's or Craft Pride, go to Craft Pride. If you love breweries over pubs, have fun at Adelbert's.

And I almost went (although I actually prefer regular Sputnik to the barrel aged)

Not nearly as impressed with Sunrise Market, maybe after the treatment of Whole Foods, Specs and especially East 1st it made Sunrise seem not as special... Still trying to get 1 more Uncle Jacob's Stout anywhere else carry it besides Brodie specs?

No other Specs has it right now. I heard Monday/Tuesday at the other ones. No word from the usual suspects: E1G, Whip In or CM Westgate.

Do Whip In or CM Westgate have anything outside the norm that E1G or Specs would not have? Any hidden beers I can get (Parabola, Black Butte XXIV,Sucuba ETC)

Very unlikely. If you weren't able to get any XXIV, Sam *may* have some hidden if you ask, but that's a big "may".

Not likely. They're just the places that tend to be early adopters of new beers.

Let me save y'all a trip to E1G if you're gonna come here just to look for Uncle Jacobs - i was told by my BEK sales rep Austin only got 16 cases of it and he only got 1 case to give it to ONE of his account and i was told E1G is not that account that he's gonna give it to...his case is either going to Specs on Airport Blvd or the NEW Mueller HEB -

Scuks but oh well that how BEK rolls -

    Cheers,
    Sam

So a place that just opened gets preference over longer-opened accounts? Nice. And BEK wonders why people think they suck.

Specs Brodie got 2 cases, and had 35 bottles left as of around noon yesterday. I was told that Airport and Arbor Walk would also be getting it this week, but that Specs Round Rock was being shut out because the BEK rep was pissed that they got a bunch last year (apparently they think we don't like beer up here, and we shouldnt get it).

They really know how to handle these things well.......

Yup they do because its not any other just opened place its HEEEEBBBBB lol -

when its comes to really limited beers like this sales reps have an allocation list they HAVE to follow which is made by the brewery's local sales rep and BEK Allocation manager -

Specs Brodie always get more than anybody else and it doesn't matter how limited the beer is - SPECS Airport, E1G n now New Mueller HEB is under the East Austin sales rep and East Austin always gets the least amount of limited beers and i guess the same thing with Round Rock -

Was able to get Uncle Jacob's yesterday at Arbor Trails WFM. You gotta ask for it, it's in the back.
