Tasting room release!


Tomorrow, Thursday, August 1st, the tasting room will begin selling bottles of 2013 Marshal Zhukov's Imperial Stout! El Catador Club members are being notified before the general public, so you'll have some bragging rights (albeit temporary) over non-club members. Bottles will be $13 per 750mL, with no limit. Oh and of course your El Catador Club 10% discount applies to this bottle and all other bottles in the tasting room!

You mean the 84ish case release?

You do the math, it's not even close to being the same.

So again, if there were a Zhukov Day release (you know, a full event with 100 taps or so of great beer from across the country) where 14K or so were available, i am sure it would be similar to getting a bottle of Hunahpu....you show up that day, you get it.

With Zhukov you have maybe 1,000 the day of with no limit, then distribution in small quantities across the state. It's not a hard concept as to why it was easier to get a bottle of Hunahpu this year, so far.

Happy to report we are heading up to Chicago (w/ a stop at the brewery included) w/ 6 bottles of MZ.

We called the Naples Whole Foods and Total Wine Naples, but they said they were out; however, they suggested the Ft Myers Total Wine, who had some in stock. There were a couple left on the seasonal release shelves an hour ago, and a sales employee said there was one more case as well. Thanks for your suggestions, guys- can't wait to enjoy some stuff on tap in a few hours and surprise friends up north in a few days.

 

More MZ at TW naples this week. Looks to be around 2-4 cases.

I completely agree with him. Please send all bottles of 2013 Zhukov to me for proper disposal.

 

I actually think this years Zhukov is the best fresh yet. The best part is, it's only going to get better over the coming months. I can't wait to see how it develops.

 

OK everyone's entitled to their own opinion, and in my opinion that is absolutely crazy.

 

I really enjoyed my first MZ last week. Put it up against several other imperial stouts (Olde Hickory and Serpents Stouts) that get high marks and thought MZ was better.

 

It's quite a jog from Orlando or Tampa, but The Brass Tap in Gainesville has both MZ and Good Gourd. It's right off I-75 so a good option if you're on the road...

Found some in Miami today, from a shop that always seems to put releases on the shelves a bit late.

 

Or we all just stopped giving a damn.
