Had one yesterday and really liked it. However, I'm wondering if this would benefit from a bit more time in the bottle. My bottle had plenty of pressure to help pop the cork out but the beer itself was pretty low in carbonation. Maybe the homebrewers can weigh in and let me know - if the bottle sits longer the CO2 will disolve into the beer making it more carbonated, right? I think this would take it up a notch for me.

Anyone seen this still around the west metro area lately? I sent two off in BIF boxes and brought my personal bottle to a friend's house in Chicago and we never drank it. So I haven't tried this yet! Waa!:slight_frown:

I was at St. Anthony (the one by Walmart) yesterday and they had a few bottles on the shelf.

Just the Fargo Happy Harrys? Boooooo

I got a bottle at Beehive Liquors in Bemidji the other day and was hoping it would be in Grand Forks as well. Doesn't seem like that'll be the case.

I've seen it for $9.99 around town. Looks like you're paying a little premium out there, Jim!

HaHa...didn't say I bought it...not at that price.
Was actually picking up some Day Tripper that day, if memory serves me well (that's a scary thought).
I did get a couple though, courtesy of the ole bro-in-law - no charge:grinning: .
    Good stuff!

I've heard of a place up my way that has them for $9.99 as well.
Might have to see if there's any still left & will post if they are (but not until I get mine:wink:)

Bernies Liquors on South University in Fargo did get a case or so and they still had bottles on the shelf a few days ago.

I don't think I'll be in Fargo for another 3 weeks. I normally just go to Bridgeview if I go to a liquor store down there, though.

Sorry for hijacking this thread but since you guys have some familiarity with Schell's beers, perhaps one of you can help. I live in North Carolina and have been looking for a six pack Schell's Hefeweizen. I had ordered it from a store that ran out of their inventory, have struck out with a few potential traders and had no response to an ISO post in the trading forum. If any of you know of either a store that will ship it or would like to make it the starting point of a trade, please shoot me a beermail (or "start a conversation" which is I guess what we call it these days). Thanks and I apologize again for taking this thread off-topic.

France 44 has it on their website www.france44.com unless that is who you tried to go through.

That was where I ordered it from and they ran out - surprised it still is on the website as they said they weren't getting any more this year.

I don't know why the website is showing Hefeweizen. We don't have any and it's done for the year. I'll fix it tomorrow. Sorry for the confusion.

Yeah, this is really delicious! Doesn't quite match up to the sweetness from NG, but the tartness is incredible!

Not a problem. Your store handled the situation is a first class manner - just wish I had found your website earlier.
