Customs "Exception" (Belgium in a Box) - Ever See?

    I'd send an email to Kurt and let him know that you will be calling your credit card company if you don't hear back from him within 24 hours. I think Kurt is a good guy. He's come through for me a number of times, but for him to just ignore your emails, especially with how much I imagine you've spent, that's just bad business.

    I don't know if you can commisserate properly given that you just came back from Belgium with a suitcase full of loons :grinning:.

    Yeah, I probably should just provide some final deadline for him, I've been assuming it'll all end up fine due to everyone else having such positive experiences but at some point I gotta stop being a pushover since yes, with shipping it was over $500.

    I guess I'm still hoping he's on vacation and that's the explanation, I try to give people the benefit of the doubt that way since I personally have taken a 3 week vacation to some tiny islands with no internet access. I don't run a business however so that is a little different....

    I sent him another message giving him till Monday to respond (yeah 24 hours is reasonable but I figured I'd cut him a little extra slack) and then checked his blog and saw he posted yesterday, so that vacation idea was obviously a false hope, but I knew that deep down anyways.

    This is starting to feel like a bad trader thread where I'm the idiot who is too accommodating and gets screwed by the guy by giving him the benefit of the doubt for too long, after all he was a great trader for all those years.

    And that did the trick, I got a response:

    "My apologies for the situation, I want to resolve this in the best way with you and at this stage the box hasn't returned to me and I don't want to keep you in the dark for much longer.
    From my end I want to refund you for the total.

    I will contact the service payment provider tomorrow morning and ask them to refund you on the credit card.

    Nonetheless, I don't want this to be the experience you had with Belgiuminabox and want to be able to somehow thank you for yr patience in this.

    I let you know the news from Ogone tomorrow and let's work from there."

    So alls well that ends well but it shouldn't have taken this long for me to find out what was going on.

    That my friend, is exactly how I know I can commiserate properly. Because if the airline lost my box of loons, I'd have flipped out. Luckily, they did not :slight_smile:

    I'm glad to hear that things are on its way to resolution. I'd imagine that all these positive comments about Kurt aren't false so I would think he is going to hook you up somehow!

    I order every few months and have never had a problem on around 15 orders, so I wouldn't get too worried. Cheers!

    After seeing this, I sent Kurt an email. By this morning, he had responded essentially saying they had gone back to their old shipper (BPost) because of issues with the new one.
