I did this with a BCBS as well, and I strained it thru a blue shop cloth, it took forever, but I refused to throw it away.

 

Spilled some BA Hunahpu. Was headed to the bathroom and went to open the door and transferring glass from one hand to another and it just slipped out. Fell straight on the floor and some just splashed straight up and out. It looks like a lot more spilled than actually did.

 

No broken glass given the cup, did you drink it off the floor? It would have to at least cross one's mind unless your a germa phobe.

 

Never dropped anything , but had an infected bottle of S.Brett that spewed out all over me and my kitchen faster than a blink, my wife said I looked like someone just shot my dog.

 

Worked at liquor stores for the past three years, so yes haha.

 

I was very close, but my need to pee and hurry up and clean up the floor outweighed my want for yummy beer

 

Accidentally knocked over my 1st ever HeadyTopper spilling out a couple of ounces. Aggh! The boy friend walked in to the sight of me slurping it off the counter. "Lucky counter". It cost me a sip from the can then he understood. Lol

 

I spilled about half of a 2011 Pannepot due to condensation forming on the glass and it slipping out of my fingers. Luckily, I had already finished the review so it could have been worse. Gave my buddy a Cuvée des jacobins (not rare, but expensive) to drink and, when he put his dinner on the tray table the beer was sitting on, he knocked it over. He only got a couple sips out of it beforehand. I also knocked over a nearly full goblet of Mad Elf (not rare or expensive but delicious) because I was playing drums and turned around to grab it off the floor and I kicked it over. Since then, I've purchased a cup holder for my drum set and it was the best investment I ever made.

 

Why were you drinking this out of a solo cup?

 

Man, it's too bad I can't find the old forums. There was a funny pair of threads several years ago about this. One by a guy who dropped a bottle of Goose Island Rare in a store, and another by a worker in a store where a dude dropped a bottle of Rare. Dropper was asking how he should have handled it, store employee was complaining that the dude ran away without discussing paying for it or not. IIRC, one point of agreement was that they tasted it from the broken bottle.

 

Everytime a bottle of HF Juicy is opened, a third of the bottle ends up everywhere.

 

It was a Memorial Day party and I was sharing small tastings with everyone there. Also because I can.

 

I was playing poker at a very large casino one time, and the bar way the heck over at the other end of the casino had Arrogant Bastard on tap. The bar by the poker room had three different mediocre hefeweizens on tap and that's the only bar to which the poker room cocktail servers would go. So I sat out a round, walked all the way to the front bar, got my $8 glass of Bastard, and walked back. Had maybe two sips as I was in a hurry to get back to the game. As I was sitting back down at the poker table, I spilled the whole pint all over my chip stack and the front of my pants. "One mediocre hefeweizen and a towel, please".

Not a rare beer by any conceivable definition out in the real world, but in this particular context, a true whale.

My friend and I were drunk and we split a bottle of Westy, and not the brick pack one either. My friend knocked over his glass and spilled the whole thing. Thankfully for him I was so bombed that I couldn't even finish half of my glass so I gave the rest to him.

Moral of the story: Don't try anything that elusive/of high quality when drunk.

 

I would have poured it through a cheesecloth and drank it anyway!

 

Brutal, but no worries we got you covered. I have a spare.

 

Last Fall, went from Quebec to British Columbia for work, and I did bring 2 bottles of Hpfenstark Boson de Higgs, a weird bu interesting mix of berliner weiss, saison and rauchbier to a fellow BA. After a week of carrying the bottles in my luggage, I dropped my bag when taking my stuff out of the car. Only one bottle made it alive, and my stuff was wet/reeking of beer - smoked beer -...

 

I almost dropped a bottle of Old Viscoscity during my birthday party on Saturday - since I had to drive out of state to get it and I had never had it before that would have been a bad time!
