    If you cross the bo
If you cross the border into MA, Notch Saison is sold in 6packs and personally I'm a huge fan.

Solution: Buy two 4 packs of a good saison...grab an empty 6 pack holder, load in 6 saisons. Still have 2 left.

Of the saisons available in six packs mentioned here already, Victory Swing is definitely my favorite. Colette I find to be underwhelming, certainly. But several of those mentioned in four packs are very good if not excellent—Goose Island Sofie, Stillwater Stateside & Stillwater Cellar Door, Boulevard Tank 7, and Ommegang Hennepin are all worth your time and money, in my opinion.
Reaaaaaaally wish we got that in upstate NY. Dying to try it (or any other Prairie brews).
No worries, but they are (at heart) rather different styles, in my opinion. Saisons are dry and herbal, bières de mars are rich and malty—both are "rustic"-ish and spicy, in some way or another. But the dryness of the saison and the rich maltiness of there bière de mars are the biggest elements setting them apart, I think, and it makes a big difference.

I second this, although at $14.99 per six pack it's kind of salty.

Just got a six pack of Prairie Standard today actually. It was around 14 bucks I believe.

Too bad that beer is horrible.

Want a good saison in a 6 pack?

    Step 1: Get time machine.
Step 2: Load up on $10 6 packs of Bam

It certainly is no amazing beer, but far from horrible. My time machine is in the shop (flux capacitor is busted again), so for $8.99/6-pk I think it's worth a go.

I thought it was pretty far from a saison.

Joking aside, one might reasonably assume saison is French, or at least an industry code word, for 'overpriced'. What's the motivation for a brewery to sell 72ozs of beer, 6 bottles, and a 6 pack container for around what they can charge for 25.4 ozs of beer in one slightly more expensive bottle when the if beer is decent they will sell all they care to at the higher price?

Why are so many consumers willing to pay 3 times as much for saison as pale ale when the only difference is the yeast?

Not really sure. I know that in our market, as far as bottles go, only 6-packs are available, I do not believe they do 22s. They might have 750s, but are probably reserved for "bigger" beers. Around here, the Scape Goat pale ale was discontinued in 6-pack bottles, due to the fact that it said pale ale on the label and not Session IPA (tongue in cheek).
