Thanks to fellow BAs for the tips and advise that made my weekend trip to Belgium last month a great time. If you're interested, the first 5 posts on my new beer photography site are from the trip:

Really awesome photos. I will be bike touring Belgium in mid May so if you feel like it drop me a BM with some hints or things I must see or avoid, I'm trying to gather as much info as possible. Thanks.

I agree great photos, and De Garre is also one of my favorite places in Brugges. Curious, what camera / equipment do you use?

As I said on the original thread: "wish I could focus so well with my shots" (or something like that, with the word sober in the text).

Thanks for the compliments! I shoot with a Canon 5D MKII and use a 24mm f/1.4 lens for most shots.

    Wow! Great photos!!
How'd you light those interior shots? Or did you use HDR?
    Thanks for sharing

Pretty cool. I will be in Brussels in May and have one day set aside for a day trip outside of Brussels. I am debating between Antwerp and Brugges. Any suggestion?

Personally, I prefer to stay in Antwerp over Brugge, but Brugge is quite picturesque.

Thanks! Its all natural light, no HDR. I shoot at a really wide aperture (f/1.4) and adjust the ISO if needed...

I chose Bruges because it's very close to Westvleteren and De Struise which were the top places I wanted to visit. My favorite place in Bruges was Garre.
