The beer store near me that I frequent will be getting it in on Wednesday, along with a new batch of Enjoy By. Looking forward to picking them up after work on Wednesday.

Drank my first one tonight, have another in the fridge for later. Thought it was a really tasty and solid IPA, wish more coconut flavor would have come through.

I split a bottle over dinner tonight & I have to agree. Almost no coconut at all (if I tried really hard, I could convince myself there was a touch in the finish). As an IPA it is still solid & it did remind me a lot of Enjoy By, so no regrets buying it at all. Just wish it delivered on the coconut more.

I read some of the hate about this beer, and I have to wonder if some people are just jaded. Yeah, it isn't a coconut waterfall raining down on your palate, but I still thought it was a really wonderful IPA. Personally, it tasted to me like the malt backbone was replaced by toasted coconut, and I thought it played well with the light tropical fruit notes of the hops. I thought it was done in a balanced way, rather than a heavy handed coconut explosion. Either way, I hope all the haters leave more for me!

Could not agree more. I was actually apprehensive about it, because I do not like overly sweet beers - especially IPA. The real art of this beer is how subtly the coconut gives a faint aromatic nose and a light buttery finish without overpowering the beer. I loved it more and more with each sip.

Thankfully it did not smell like sunscreen or taste like coconut water or a pina colada. It's an IPA. It tastes like an IPA.

Finally had mine. Tasted just like a regular Stone IPA. My palate must suck because I didn't get any coconut flavor..... though I did get a nice aroma of it when poured into the glass. Just my $.02

Had this a couple of nights ago. Like many have said, it is a solid IPA but I got no coconut at all.

Not much coconut. Just a little swetness is all I really get out of it.

    Delicious.

Sweetness mellows some of the standard Stone bitterness.

    Solid beverage.

Edit: As it warms a bit, I am noticing some more coconut notes.

getting it on Thursday here in Connecticut. What I have read is the left coasters had a little coconut in the nose but the more it traveled east the more it lost all notes of coconut. what a bummer.

I agree about Whole Foods being an awesome craft beer buying option. I don't know how they affect the mom&pop shops.......but, here in Chicago, Whole Foods has a great selection and you can find some really rare stuff occasionally as well.

I thought it was pretty good, the coconut wasn't very strong but I prefer that to it being overwhelming. I'd probably pick up another bottle if there is any next time I need to get beer, not worth making a special trip for.

They are definitely some subtle coconut notes here. As someone mentioned there is some coconut in the middle and there is a coconut flavor in the finish almost like you can smell the coconut in the aftertaste (don't drink with a stuffy nose ;-) ).

All in all it's a pretty nice beer. As folks have mentioned, this is not a coconut bomb ;-).

I had this on draft a week and a half ago. I liked it, not too much coconut flavor but it was good. Wish i could find a bottle somewhere, but no one has it.

When the whole point of this beer hinges upon coconut being the unique ingredient, it's hard to argue they did it successfully.
